Lennel House in Coldstream has recently seen an outbreak of COVID-19.
It has now been reported in the
Southern Reporter and on Radio Borders that two people have died at the care home, run by St Philips Care.
The
Border Telegraph contacted Paul Farmer, the St Philips Care chief executive, for a comment on these reports.
This newspaper asked Mr Farmer if he could "provide a statement on reports that two residents of Lennel House have died with coronavirus".
In response, Mr Farmer said: "We have worked closely with our Local Authority and NHS partners with extensive infection control measures in place to minimise the outbreak.
