Watford Rural parish councillors Joan King, William Waite, and Stephen King with the commemorative benches
Two benches are to be installed to thank the NHS and key workers for their hard work during the coronavirus pandemic, as well as remember those we have sadly lost.
The benches will be decorated with a rainbow and will be placed in South Oxhey and Carpenders Park.
Watford Rural parish councillor William Waite said he believed all those on the frontline deserve recognition for all they have done in what has been an unprecedented year.
Cllr Waite said: "The NHS has been terrific during this. Despite equipment shortages, they’ve risen to the challenge. Other key workers have kept our public transport system running and the utilities working and there are so many unsung heroes. I thought it would be good to mark their efforts in some way."
