Senior Assistant District Attorney Michael Milza said at Doyle's arraignment in 2019 that on March 18, 2019, Doyle arrived at the Cornwall house where Gomez moved with her children in June 2018. At the house, Doyle, who also lived in Cornwall at the time, choked her, punched her repeatedly, and threw her into the headboard of her bed so hard that the headboard split in half, Milza said at the arraignment.
In a statement on Monday, Gomez said that her ex-husband “pled guilty to charges of domestic violence against me. I am glad that the justice system has properly recognized the seriousness of his crimes and am grateful that my children and I have been kept safe through this long and difficult process. I am now looking forward to putting this chapter of my life behind me and wanted to say how thankful I am to everyone who has supported me and my family through this time.”
