Q: When did you first start working for the town?
A: 1986, September. The town was just under 10,000 people. I was 27 years old. I was blessed to get the job.
Q: Have you been working at the senior center the entire time?
A: Before that, I started in 1986 as staff assistant to Social Services Coordinator Bev Bellody. She was my immediate supervisor for three-and-a-half years then she got a job working in Human Services for the town of Tolland.
Then I was graced to have a mentor and supervisor, Doris Creighton. We worked together from 1990 to 2016. Now I have Joy Hollister and sheâs my immediate supervisor. Sheâs the director of the Human Services Department.
