Controversial evangelical footy star Israel Folau has snapped up a house 15km from Brisbane, fuelling speculation he could be yet again eyeing a return to the NRL.
Folau, 32, and his wife Maria bought a four-hectare property in Pullenvale, once part of disgraced mining magnate Nathan Tinkler's estate, for $1.5million.
The Grandview Drive property only has a modest three bedroom home on it, but the cleared block offers 'the ability to build your dream lifestyle', according to the selling agents' brochure.
It is also said to be 'surrounded by multimillion-dollar homes' - meaning another one built there wouldn't be out of place.
