Consumer Catch-up: Home prices still going up

The median price for an existing home is about 23 percent higher than one year ago.

Concern over elevators in vacation rentals
Regulators want AirBnb and Vrbo hosts to disable their residential elevators.
It comes after a 7-year-old died last week in a vacation home elevator in North Carolina.
Small children can be crushed to death in a gap that may exist between the doors.
The agency wants rental owners to provide proof of an elevator inspection, certifying that no hazardous gap exists.
Home prices still rising
