Constable: Unlike dogs, not every president should have a day
A new poll of Americans proclaims Barack Obama as our greatest president, and Donald Trump as third.

U.S. Rep. Robert McClory represented Lake County in Congress from 1963 through 1983. In addition to being a Republican who drafted an article of impeachment against Republican President Richard Nixon in 1974, McClory wrote the bill that moved George Washington's birthday to the third Monday in February.

Our federal government doesn't accept Presidents Day as the official holiday it calls Washington's Birthday. But George Washington's actual birthday is Feb. 22, unless you defer to the Julian calendar that was in use when he was born, in which case it's Feb. 11.
