The 294-seater West Bengal Assembly goes to polls in eight phases starting March 27. The counting of votes will take place on May 2.

Kolkata: The Congress and the Left have finalised their seat-sharing formula in the forthcoming Assembly polls in West Bengal. The Congress will be contesting 92 seats. The list of candidates will be announced in the next two days. Addressing a press conference, Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury said that the party had demanded 130 seats in the beginning, but with the finalised seats, the party will not have to accommodate other parties like Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD).
