A Concord man tried on charges of slaying his pregnant partner and dumping her body in a pond was convicted of murder on Tuesday, authorities said.
Erick Lamar Nelson, 31, was convicted of first-degree murder in Contra Costa County Superior Court after three days of deliberation by the jury, the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s office said in statement. The guilty verdict capped off a month-long trial.
