Computer vision recognition pioneer Cordelia Schmid honoured by a prestigious prize

Cordelia Schmid has been working for 25 years to advance computer vision and object recognition. Her major contribution to the field has been awarded the Körber European Science Prize. This high honour will enable the researcher to lend new impetus to her work, in the field of perception and multimedia interpretation, or vision-guided robotics, for example.
