Commuter's neck slashed after argument at Manhattan's Union Square station in latest subway attack

NYC knifeman slashes commuter in neck on Manhattan subway train days after four passengers were randomly stabbed
The victim, 45, was attacked after an argument broke out between him and another man on the L line platform on Tuesday
The man was slashed in the neck with a pocket knife and blood was seen on floor
Victim was taken to Bellevue hospital where he is now 'conscious and alert' 
It comes after a series of attacks on the New York City subway system
