-The Battle Creek Fire Department played the role of hero on Thursday afternoon, when a fire broke out at 91 Oakhill Drive. They were able to save family pets from the house! Check out the full story!
-The WMU Cooley Law School Innocence Project has assisted in a man’s release after 15 years behind bars. Kenneth Nixon was released from prison in Ionia Thursday thanks to the work of the project. You can read about the whole story here!
-Officials with the City of Portage Department of Public Works say their staff have begun work to clear storm drains on local streets in an effort is underway to reduce the risk of potential flooding, based on the forecast of increasing temperatures in the coming days.
