Community Theatre Returns To The Stage

After a long year away from the stage, Emmetsburg Main Street Community Theatre will hold auditions for a summer student production of Robin Hood.
Auditions are Monday and Tuesday, May 24 and 25, from 5 to 6 p.m. at the Performance Center located at 19th and Lake in Emmetsburg.
Students in high school, junior high and 4th graders and up are encouraged to audition for the 16 speaking roles and other non-speaking roles.
Robin Hood and his band of followers including Will Scarlet, Friar Tuck and Little John battle the evil Sheriff of Nottingham. Lady Merel is also someone who wants to see Robin Hood in the gallows. The evil Sheriff and plotting Lady Merel have Robin’s friend, Maid Marian, as their prisoner. With the help of the Sheriff’s bumbling wife and daughter they are taking her to London to be forced into a marriage with Prince John. Robin and his followers, along with villagers and other band members, try to rescue Maid Marian and remain faithful to the absent King Richard.
