Senior Corporal Timothy “TJ” Webb and his dog, Henk
Law enforcement agencies formed a pathway as Senior Corporal Timothy “TJ” Webb was discharged from Christiana Hospital on Thursday, December 17. S/Cpl. Webb is recovering from multiple gunshot wounds suffered as he and the US Marshal’s Office attempted to arrest Evelio Rivera, 37, a fugitive from Reading, Pennsylvania fugitive on December 10. Rivera was shot during the exchange of gunfire and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The community has rallied behind the injured officer who was discharged to a rehabilitation center and is improving although he still faces a long recovery period. An account has been set up through the Delaware State Police Federal Credit Union and there are three ways to support the fund. Anyone who wishes to make a donation can visit the Georgetown location of the credit union at 700 North Bedford Street, Georgetown, DE 19947 and ask to make a donation to S/Cpl. Webb’s newly established account. Checks can also be mailed to that address as well, but please include a note that it is for the benefit of the S/Cpl. Webb. Anyone with an account at the credit union can make an internal transfer into the account.
