Community mourns loss of local chef Warren Montgomery to COVID-19

Warren Montgomery passed away on April 20, 2021 while in the hospital with COVID-19.
Brandon Lamar was at a Football Saskatchewan coaches clinic back in 2011 when he spotted someone staring at him and the New Orleans Saints hat he was wearing.
His choice of headwear that day turned out to be fortuitous as it drew the eye of fellow Louisianan Warren Montgomery.
“Me, being a brother, there’s only a few brothers up here,” Lamar  said with a laugh. 
“He came up to me, said, ‘Hey man, you from Louisiana?’ ” recalled Lamar, who replied with a yes.
