A Caithness forest is set to benefit from a new children's play area and a larger car park after a community group took over its ownership.
A local trust will now take forward ambitious ideas for Dunnet Forest, after becoming owners of the popular woodland on Thursday.
The Dunnet Forestry Trust took ownership of the 105-acre forest â which will be renamed Dunnet Community Forest â following completion of a community asset transfer agreement with NatureScot.
