EL CAJON —
Brad Monroe was unanimously selected by his fellow board members as president of the Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District Governing Board for 2021.
Monroe, founder of Cuyamaca College’s popular Ornamental Horticulture program and who retired in 2012 as its chair after 32 years, was elected to the board in 2018.
At a virtually held board meeting Dec. 15, the trustees also voted to have Linda Cartwright serve as vice president and named Debbie Justeson as clerk of the board. Oaths of office were given to newly elected trustee Julie Schorr, and to Elena Adams, who was re-elected to a second term in November.
