Comeytrowe development in Taunton will have new school by September 2022

A NEW primary school will open on the western edge of Taunton by September 2022, the county council has promised.
Construction is currently proceeding on the Orchard Grove development - also known as the Comeytrowe urban extension - between the A38 Wellington Road and Honiton.
The site, which will be built out by 2028, will eventually feature 2,000 houses, employment units, a ‘park and bus’ facility and a new primary school.

Somerset County Council, which is responsible for delivering new schools, has now promised a school for the site will be delivered within the next two years.
