A massive comet named 12P/Pons-Brooks has grabbed the attention of scientists and astronomers. Measuring 18.6 miles in diameter, this cryovolcanic comet has become significantly brighter due to the reflection of light from its gas cloud. Despite its intimidating appearance, there is no immediate danger of a catastrophic collision with Earth. The comet will be visible without specialized equipment in 2024, remaining a safe distance away.
