Columbus police file arrest warrant for suspect in Northeast Side apartment shooting
Columbus homicide detectives are asking for the public's help in finding a 23-year-old man accused of killing one man and wounding another in a shooting outside a Northeast Side apartment complex.
Nasear Smith, 23, of South Linden, has been charged with murder in Franklin County Municipal Court in connection with the shooting death early Monday morning of 21-year-old Derek Hoston, of the Northeast Side. 
Police were called to the 1700 block of Kenmore Avenue around 12:35 a.m. on a report of a shooting. Officers stopped a car leaving the area and found a 23-year-old man inside with a gunshot wound.
