A Columbus man who was arrested Saturday in connection with a body found last month by a kayaker floating inside a storage container in the Alum Creek Reservoir has now also been charged with that man's murder.
Detectives with the Delaware County Sheriff's Office served Timothy P. Burney Baldrick, 43, with the arrest warrant on the murder charge on Wednesday inside the Delaware County Jail, where he was being held on the original charges of tampering with evidence and abuse of a corpse.
Baldrick is accused of fatally shooting 37-year-old Timothy R. Marcum on June 22, placing his body inside a plastic tote and dumping it into a fishing area of Alum Creek State Park, according to two separate criminal complaints filed in Delaware County Common Pleas Court.
