COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) â For the second straight game, the Coldwater Cardinals used a big sixth inning on Tuesday afternoon to rally past the Gull Lake Blue Devils 9-8 in the first game of a non-conference doubleheader at Pat Lowe Field.
Coldwater completed the sweep in the second game as they defeated the Blue Devils 10-3 to improve to 4-0.
Gull Lake used a seven-run fourth inning in the first contest to take a 7-1 lead before the Cardinals rallied.
They were down 7-2 entering the last of the sixth before they scored five runs to tie the game.
Cole Barker was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded to cut the lead down to 7-3. Joe Closson and Aiden Marsden then followed with two-run singles.
