CASPER, Wyo. — The Wyoming Game and Fish Department said on Monday that more waterfowl should be moving south into the state with colder weather “blanketing the region.”
“We’ve had a more mild weather year,” Game and Fish Biologist Noelle Smith said.. “But that is starting to change and that will push the birds from the north to Wyoming.”
Game and Fish added that wetlands “make exceptional waterfowl habitat.” Hunters with the necessary registration and stamps could find success on wildlife habitat management areas which offer waterfowl hunting such as Ocean Lake, Table Mountain, Soda Lake and Sand Mesa.
