The Chief would normally be in its berth at the North Bay dock by this time of year, but remains in drydock in Callander.

Rich Stivrins, captain of the craft, said Monday he has received word from Transport Canada that the Chief can sail this year, but a final decision rests with the provincial government and North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit.
