Prime minister vowing to retaliate saying iran will pay as it launched its largest attack ever against israel. The question out what will pay back look like when will it happen and what role will the united states play . No more debates left. Weve got new reporting on what changed after the Vice President Thank You. Will abate, and who helped their ticket the most and today wiped off the map. President biden will travel to stormravaged North Carolina and South Carolina were some towns have been washed away hey, the Death Toll rising and thousands cut off from accessing Food Power and clean water. Im Sara Sidner with Kate Bolduan and john berman. Erin burnett is joining our team shes live in Tel Aviv. This is Cnn News Central good morning to all from all of us. Im Erin Burnett live in Tel Aviv and we do have major Breaking News here this Morning Iran says, it is quote, absolutely not interested in a broader war as Israel Vows Retaliation against irans largest Missile Attack ever against israel. And the huge Question Today is what will that response . Be . And when will it happen . How imminent could this be . And what role will the united states play the White House and President Biden are now in a constant communication with israeli counterparts, senior Administration Official saying the u. S. Does not believe israel has made a determination on how to respond but it could include strikes on nuclear targets or other targets in iran, we have breaking overnight though already new airstrikes on beirut from israel and forces saying ongoing strikes against iranianbacked hezbollah targets are now continuing in the north here as were also learning, the idf is deployed a new division of troops on lebanon, Southern Border with new calls for more people from lebanon to evacuate from villages. And Jeremy Diamond is live with me here in Tel Aviv jeremy even just the scale of in this moment but that were in what is israel going to do . When are they going to do it . It is going to be something that is going to be something significant. We just dont yet know without a doubt. And this is an extremely precarious moment. In this region. I mean, just think of all of the things that we have had happened over the course of the last year where youre approaching the anniversary of october 7, we have seen these moments over the course of the last year where it seems like this conflict between israel and hamas could explode into a wider regional war. Israel is now very much at war with hezbollah to the north in lebanon as its troops move deeper into lebanon, these really military adding more troops its there. And now of course, as we have seen, Israel Strike the head of hamas in the capital of iran, we have seen them take out Hassan Nasrallah and now iran carrying out this bulletin the sec Missile Attack, which they say is in retaliation for those killings. And now the question is, following this attack, which was mostly intercepted by israels air defense, but we have seen so many videos of this attack striking Air Bases in southern israel. We have seen multiple explosions there. I visited several sites and now the question of course is how will israel respond . And they are certainly under enormous pressure to do so. And how they calibrate it will be critical to seeing how this plays and the iranian targeting. I mean, just today earlier over near where Shin Bet is, right, that you could see holes in the ground, right . Not exactly hitting the target that they say they wanted to hit, but close. And in a way that we havent seen before. I mean, do you from your sources, jeremy it seems that theres this sort of palpable pressure to do something and do something fast because they want to do it and they dont want us All Of A Sudden have to succumb to international ill pressure. What are you hearing about . No doubt about it. And i think the united states is probably going to give israel some leeway here to respond. I mean, we have seen the u. S put pressure on israel to calibrate its responses in the past, we have seen them tell them to hold off on certain things. This is a moment where i think the united states its recognizes that israel must do something. But at the same time, i think one of the interesting pieces of messaging that were hearing both from israel as well as from the united states. Is this notion that Irans Attack was not all that successful her President Biden say, yesterday saying that this was a largely ineffective attack. The national Security Advisor Jake sullivan giving the same messaging. And is that a Fig Leaf to have them not respond or exactly maybe thats intended to say, look, it wasnt that successful, you dont need to go through with an overwhelming response, but a lot of analysts are saying now that is iran has taken it to a new level. And so well, israel take it to the next level, which is to say, well, it strike irans nuclear facilities for example, try and set that nuclear program back. That is very much being considered right now by the israeli security cabinet, which convenes Last Night, i expect that there will be more consultations in the coming days. Theres not a sense that israel is going to respond immediately, but it certainly will respond in the time at a time and place of its choosing. As we heard from the israeli militarys chief the Staff Yesterday and similar comments from the Prime Minister as well, right . As jeremy was talking about potentially striking nuclear sites, Energy Sites are also of course, former spokesman for the idf, Jonathan Conricus said suggested that they could even be striking leadership within the iranian government in tehran, which, which everyone can understand stand of course, would be a Game Changer in its own right . So this morning this is what President Biden is waking up to saying that the united states is fully supportive of israel and is actively discussing what are response to iran will look like and what role the u. S. Will play. Lets bring in cnn, white House Correspondent Arlette saenz and are letting mean, this is the crucial question for the world and for iran and for those who are worried about a much broader conflagration that could you know, people, people talking about their fear of a World War three type scenario. It is the u. S. Response that could determine that. What are you hearing well, erin, certainly senior Administration Officials here at the White House are working around the clock trying to determine what the next sponsor will be after irans Missile Attack against israel, President Biden yesterday said that his team is in constant communication constant contact, trying to ascertain what the appropriate response will be. A senior us official telling us Last Night that the u. S. Does not believe israel has made that final decision about how to respond. But even as the u. S. Is saying that Irans Attack was defeated and ineffective. They have made very clear that there will be repercussions for iran at this moment. Take a listen this is a significant escalation by iran. We have made clear that there will be consequences, severe consequences for this attack, and we will work with israel to make that the case senior us officials said that at some Point Israel will need to come to the us with details of what they would like to their response to be. And at that point, the u. S. Will be trying to ascertain and potentially shape any decision. One big question going forward is what kind of Influence America might have on this final Decisionmaking Process as the u. S. Is keen to prevent an allout war in the Middle East. And then there is the question if israel does respond, which people do expect, how exactly and what exactly the u. S. Would do to support that response. So a lot of big questions for President Biden this morning as they are waking up to yet another very highly tense moments in the Middle East he also said that he does plan to speak with israeli prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at some point dont know when that would happen, but he said in that call that he would be conveying his message about the next steps he thinks they could take all right . Arlette, Thank You very much. And sarah, i know you have spent so much time covering the story here on the ground. It is something now though, when you come by and that area of Shin Bet and you do see those craters in the ground that theyre rushing to fill in the blownout cars in places that we just havent seen and before to understand how this conflict has yet again moved to a new level. Yeah, the escalation is very clear and now everyone waits to see what happens next. Erin burnett. Thank you so much for being out there. I know youve also spent a great deal of time there watching this war, worrying about whether it will be a wider one. Appreciate you will talk to you in just a few minutes. Ahead. A night of Midwest Nice at the vp debate. But who voters think is better for america and whats next . After what was likely the final debate . Hey, of this Election Cycle and roads to know where a clear visual of the destruction and why President Biden will be surveying the Storm Damage in Norman Karolina from the air the latest situation as rescues continue, all these days after Hurricane Helene Hit and a stunning new slew of allegations again, Sean Diddy Combs, what more than 100 men and women have come forward against diddy, what theyre saying and what their plans are she put her entire career at stake one is coming out episode says to the world, its okay to be gay. We are joined by the pride of nebraska cnn, chief national Affairs Correspondent jeff zeleny, up late watching. Good morning. John. Big moment. It was a big moment. Look, i mean, it was a moment of civility. We heard the cliche midwest, nice minnesota nice. It actually was that. But boy, Jd Vance Winds Points on Debating Style throughout the debate on answer after answer, he did something Donald Trump did not. He prosecuted the case against Vice President Kamala Harris again and again saying i agree with that, but why hasnt shed done it . It really seemed like a different era, a pretrump era, if you will. But of course this is still very much a trump era. The top of the ticket and it was that moment at the very end of the debate. When Governor Walz finally found his footing after 90 minutes or so, and he talked directly about January 6 and seem to rattle Jd Vance would just ask, did he lose the 2020 election . Tim, im focused on the future. Did Kamala Harris Censor Americans from speaking their mind and the wake of the 2020 covid situation that is that is it nonanswer that she its a nonanswer for you to not talk about censorship obviously, Donald Trump and i think that there were problems in 2020. Weve talked about it. Im happy to talk about it further if im pretty shocked by this, he lost the election. This is not a debate Look A nonanswer and mr. Wallace may know about that because he had several nonanswers to but on this issue, on something that americans are so fixated on, are focused on. Its so visceral that was probably the takeaway, the Harris Campaigns already saying theyre going to run ads on that moment to talk about that. But it was the very end of the debate. The question was the audience still therefore, if not, theyll see it again everyone i think sat up and there chats or their couches when that moment happened and i am very curious to see how Donald Trump responds to the world saying that Jd Vance is better at prosecuting the case for Donald Trump than Donald Trump. Its not like that so much. Abortion was a big issue in this debate. It certainly was. I mean, this was something that has been a really defining issue of this campaign. Of course, hes the governor, the Governor Walz, he has signed a law in minnesota, but it was Jd Vance when he talked personally about someone who grew grew up with that really struck a chord with some voters i grew up in a working Class Family in a neighborhood where i knew a lot of young women who had an unplanned pregnancies and decided to terminate this pregnancies because they feel like they didnt have any other options and i one of them is actually very dear to me and i know shes watching tonight and i love you. And she told me something a couple of years ago that she felt like if she hadnt had that abortion, that it would have destroyed her life because she was in an abusive relationship. Weve got to do so much better of a job at earning the american peoples trust back on this issue, where they frankly just dont trust us the fact that matter is how can we as a nation say that your life and your rights as a basic as the right to control your own body is determined on geography so look Jd Vance are trying to soften the edges at the very least, and the trump campaign, beyond abortion, or theyve been backandforth on Wood Trump Sign or veto a national abortion ban. Jd Vance Scott wrapped for that. He said that he doesnt speak for the president , but Last Night the president came out, former president Donald Trump, and said he would in Fact Veto it. But look the bottom line to all of this Vice President ial debates have seldom mattered and all the races that we have covered, i dont think this one will either. So certainly points for Jd Vance, but overall, probably a wash and onward to the camp. Yeah, i was just going to say the curious thing jeff is if tomorrow or the next day, you and i are talking about this or anyone is talking about this . At all, will see sometimes these things take some time to settle gently. Great to see you inperson, great to see you. The great thing about Jd Vance and Tim Walz is they brought us together. Thanks for having me. All right. Just to make sure to spite you, im going to make sure were talking about this in two days coming up for u. S. You Look At the news of the week and ask questions like, what does a Comedy Show doing on cnn thats too much i want donald know, can you slice that i got news for you saturday at nine on cnn knew this morning Hurricane Helene has so far taken at least 162 lives across six states it is the second deadliest hurricane to hit the mainland in 50 years. The search for those still missing is hitting a critical stage. Now, this is video taken while youre cnn photographers here, Look At that its from sugar grove, North Carolina. Then Look At this. This is a resident who captured the moment a wall of Water And Mud rush down the Mountain Side at her parents home, knocking part of it off its foundation. Today, President Biden and Vice President harris are expected to survey some of the areas impacted by the storm. Biden, expected to take an Aerial Tour of North Carolina and meet with first responders there as Cnns Kevin Liptak is at the White House with more on this story. The devastation is just its hard to understand. An Aerial Tour though will give him some sense of just how bad things are yeah. And i think thats why president s go on these trips to really get a firsthand sense of the extent of the destruction that you really cant get from photos and the president will certainly be able to get that from the air when he tours around the asheville Area Today and it was interesting, we heard from the asheville fair earlier this week who said that three out of the four highways into her town have been closed down. They didnt want to close the one remaining highway down to a motorcade. And for that reason, President Biden will be viewing this destruction from the air and the destruction is extensive. People still trying to dig out from knee deep mud. People searching for bodies, looking for survivors. Many people still without power, without cell service, without water. And that gets to the other point of President Bidens trip is to really try and assess what the needs still are on the ground. Certainly the federal government has searched support to this area. Fema says that there are 4,500 federal personnel on the ground in the whole hurricane impact area. They say that theres been more than 7 Million meals, more than 6 Million liters of water. But certainly the federal response will be need to be more robust and you do hear from people on the ground you say they do want to see more from the federal government. When it comes to a response. And so President Biden will hear directly from people at a Operation Center in raleigh, get a briefing on how exactly the Recovery Efforts are going hell also meet with first responders and local officials at The End of the day. That really is sort of the advantage of this kind of trip. Of course, President Biden can get the governors of these states on the phone anytime he wants. He can get fema on the phone anytime he wants. Its a lot harder to hear from people directly on the ground who are directly impacted did by these storms. And that is something that he will want to do today. Of course, Vice President harris also doing the same kind of thing in georgia. Both of them say they will continue making these trips over the course of this week as we heard from President Biden yesterday people are scared to death. He says this is urgent, so very much wanting to demonstrate Leadership Executive Management skills at a very tense and sad moment for a lot of people on the ground and i was reading, there are actually using mules in some places to get supplies to people because thats just how in impassable these roads. Our kevin liptack. Thank you so much for your reporting there for us from the White House, john all right. Weve got new reporting just in iran is vowing repercussions about any nation that came to Israels Aid in the Missile Attack, iran just making their threat, threat us clearly played a Age Or Role in shooting down some of those missiles. So what does that mean and the impact after what could be the final debate of this presence . Potential cycle first of all, governor, i agree with much of what the senator said right there. Im in agreement with him on this. I think that Governor Walz and i actually probably agree i agree with a lot of which Gender Vance said about whats happening Look At the news of the weekend as questions like, what does a Comedy Show doing on cnn too much . And then everything changed dana said, youre still and screwed man, the christopher reeve story, ready, pg 13 right now the world is watching and waiting for any sign of Israels Response to irans unprecedented Missile Attack here on israel, according to israeli officials, it is not a question of if it is now a question of when and the israeli Prime Minister saying that iran will pay, weve heard various scenarios from attacking irans nuclear facilities to possibly even suggested by some in the israeli government that they would want to actually take out leaders within the iranian government itself, which would be an incredible its collation unclear now what and when Natasha Bertrand is joining me now from the pentagon though, and natasha so what is your Reporting Year of what the u. S. Intelligence shows in terms of what they anticipate and also the support, what us involvement could be in place werent reporting as of right now, is that according to a senior White House official, it does not appear that the u. S. Knows for sure just how israel is going respond because its not yet clear if israel even knows how its going to react to this, there are still weighing their options according to our latest reporting from Administration Officials here. But look, i mean, this is exactly why the Defense Department has put all of these assets in place in the Middle East, you saw them working yesterday with that massive iranian Missile Barrage with destroyers in the Eastern Mediterranean Intercept shooting, i should say roughly 12 intercepted theres ap, these missiles unclear whether any of them were actually taken down, but they did take part in this broader effort to try to intercept some of those incoming headed towards israel and of course, the u. S. Does not only have the destroyers in the Eastern Mediterranean, they also have a Carrier Strike Group in the arabian sea, which is close to iran. They have warships In The Red Sea to potentially intercept any missiles incoming from the houthis in yemen. And they also have increased their Force Posture all around the Middle East in order to prepare for something really at a moments notice, like we saw just yesterday, particularly when it comes of course to a potential evacuation operation, or we have not seen any plans in movement yet, just just yet for such an evacuation operation. But again, the u. S. Has thousands of marine stationed in the Eastern Mediterranean that are prepared to carry out such an operation. If one becomes necessary, if this conflict escalates even further, should also note that the u. S deployed even more Fighter Jet squadrons to the Middle East recent days again, to try to intercept missiles if and when theyre fired at the israelis. And of course to enhance Force Protection for the thousands of troops that are currently in the region. So walt unclear just how this is going to play out. You know, the u. S. Saying that neither Iran Nor Israel necessarily want a broader war here, the risk for Miscalculation And Escalation patient has obviously very high and that is what the pentagon is preparing for aaron and of course, one of the biggest questions is as you put more and more troops into a location to prevent an escalation thats exactly what a spark. And of course to take off the most quickly, the great risk there, kate aaron, Thank You so much. Were gonna get back to erin in israel of shortly lets talk more about all of this though, joining me right now is Shawn Turner a former director of communication for us national intelligence and also general wesley clark, the former Supreme Allied Commander of nato. General. Lets talk about us involvement in just a modal. So heard you say that Israels Response now to the barrage coming from iran should, should be disproportionate. The White House view, those seems to not be that they seem to think that Netanyahu Cant afford it to be anything but proportionate. Explain what you see here. So the psychology in the region looks at the united states. Our adversaries, theyre Look At the united states. The united states is as always power, but its afraid to use it why is it afraid . Its week. They dont Look At the cape thing. They know us military strong, but they Look At it administrations, their weak, theyre afraid to use it and inside iran, we know that there was a debate between the president or the hard hardliners in the revolutionary guards, who said, dont worry america is not going to come in. We have to strike hard. Let strike hard now. And they won that debate show. Now theyve tried to cap it off. If israel responds lets say what Peoples Life proportionately then what you do is you invite another cycle of this. Some of those missiles fired by iran got through, they didnt strike the target. We dont know what the effectiveness. And as much as the united states is willing reserve was an ineffective it doesnt look that way to the iranian leadership. Our target you must strike disproportion you must achieve escalation dominance. So they jumped back at joel, my god, we did make a mistake. Lets lets lets hold this down thats the psychology in the region and i hope that will guide the u. S. Approach to Israels Response. Israel understands this psychology and john, as David Sanger put it in an analysis of the New York Times today, the long feared wider war in the Middle East is here. And you think that reality is an important one for the biden administration to acknowledge quickly why yeah. You know, you dont. Thanks, kate. A year ago when we were talking about whats happening, getting in the Middle East, just about a year ago we were talking about the concerns over a wider regional war. But what did that look like . It looked like a spread of hostilities the lebanon and the south and the north, we looked, it looked like a spread of hostilities into iran. It looked like what were seeing today, this larger regional conflict, the administration has been doing a very good job for working behind the scenes to try to negotiate a ceasefire, to try to calm hostilities in the region. But we are there. Kate. I mean i think whats the Clark Sack . Absolutely right. Were at a point where were israel needs to take a Look At this next response. And it needs to be one that is focused on weakening Irans Ability to strike back so i think the conversation over a wider regional conflict is one in which we need to play but that behind us and we need to be talking about this from a position of strength where were talking about what we are going to do to necessarily prevent iran from, from dealing, dealing with other countries in the region to bring other countries into this conflict. Were just, were already there in the administration needs to acknowledge that and general, lets talk about the term used. Escalation dominance. I want to ask you more about that. Let me first play for you what the former israeli Prime Minister, Naftali Bennett told Wolf Blitzer yesterday, kind of along these lines once in a 50 year opportunity. What israel needs to do immediately, we need to take out irans nuclear program. We need to attack Irans Energy facilities and we need to attack the regime itself right away because iran made a fatal mistake of shooting 200 ballistic missiles at the state of israel enough is enough taking out nuclear facilities, did taking out the nuclear program attacking her on energy facilities. Is that is that going too far or is that kind of along the lines of what were talking about here . Well, i think you have work your work the actual targeting capabilities are lot of those nuclear facilities are deep underground. Some of them were in south eastern iran are hard to reach you may not get them first time. About the principle is correct. Kate lord the hardliners in the iranian government have watched the united states respond for over a year saying, we dont want to escalate all, please. Lets dont escalate to them. That says weakness. And israel, israel understands that theyre in a really tough neighborhood. If iran gets away with this, this time, the next strike would be much worse. And itll continue the cycle so this is what the former Prime Minister said. The opportunity to take out their nuclear weapons. Can it be done . Dont know for the targeteers and the insiders in the military. But it has to be on the table. Iran. This is a time to stop this in the region. You know, we went into the red sea. We said to the hoodies, please dont attack the shipping. We defended the shipping while we were there, we protected ourselves, the White House approved the strikes. They were Region Valley but what we didnt say, who he says, you guys made a big mistake. Youre out of business and we didnt put them out of business, which we had the power to do, or a lot or almost four out. But the point is iran read weakness, weakness, weakness in this region, you cannot show weakness and remember, shes not just about the Middle East, russia is in there, in iran russia is watching, china is watching their assessing the strength of bill and the formulation of the united states as their principal Adversary Lot riding on this next actions. Absolutely. Sorry. Sorry, general jump in there. Sean, quick last word to you. How is this different from when iran fired missiles in april . Why does this feel so different . Yeah you know if you Look At what happened in april and this is whats happened for for quite some time with Iran And Israel. These two had been fighting a Shadow War for quite some time. Back in april, there was a specific incident that resulted in the direct conflict between Iran And Israel in fact, prior to the Volume Missiles back in april, iran forecast what theyre gonna do for days prior to that so theres been this sort of for tat this sort of, this sort of sending a Message Backandforth when there is direct conflict between these two countries but in this case, there was no warning to certainly to israel prior to this attack. And weve seen up lot more missiles this time. This is an escalation that needs to be dealt with differently. The strategy needs to be focused now not on sending a message, but on weakening Irans Ability to continue to launch attacks a lot riding on this moment as a general is getting at great to see you both. I hope you love it montgomery in tokyo and this is cnn president ial candidates are back out on the campaign trail. Senator Jd Vance campaigning in michigan while governor Tim Walz kicks off a Bus Tour across pennsylvania, both hoping to see a postdebate bump in support cnns Mj Lee joins us now, is there any word on how theyre feeling each of them about there . Performance at the debate Last Night well, sara, you know, it was the two Vice President ial nominees that were on the Debate Stage Last Night for 90 plus minutes. But really the overwhelming focus was on the two people at the top of the tickets Donald Trump and Kamala Harris. And what we saw Jd Vance and Tim Walz do Last Night was to try hi to one defend their respective running Mates Record and their vision and then also look for opportunities to go on the attack on the other president ial candidate and what we ultimately saw was these two Vice President ial candidates spar on a number of really important issues for starters, there was a discussion about Foreign Policy ill see you him particularly the unfolding situation in the Middle East. They went after each Others Record and vision on to really politically salient issues reproductive rights and immigration. And then of course, the allimportant issue of the Economy And Inflation and you were wondering, i i think as Everybody Else was, are there going to be fireworks as theyre going to be yelling and namecalling. And we really didnt see that it was pretty much across the board of very civil discussion as far as these debates go. But there was this one exchange at the very end of the night where we did see some real sparks flying in between the two candidates. Take a look i would just ask, did he lose the 2020 election . Tim im focused on the future. Did Kamala Harris Sensor Americans from speaking their mind and the wake of the 2020 covid situation that is that is a nonanswer that she its Non Answer for you did not talk about censorship. Obviously, Donald Trump and i think that there were problems in 2020. Weve talked about it. Im happy to talk about it further. Im pretty shocked by this he lost the election. This is not a debate and sara, the Harris Campaign saw this. Im told as the moment of the night. And in fact, there already cutting ads using this exchange on the question of whether there was a clear winner coming out of the night. I mean, Look At the cnn polling, its very evenly split for vance, 50 one 1 and walz 49 . And then the question of did either of them actually change Peoples Perception of them using Last Nights debate, while we see that Tim Walzs favorable numbers went up or unfavorable numbers went down. But the exact same for Jd Vance is favorables moved up his unfavorable numbers went down at The End of the day. Sara, i think neither campaign believed that Last Night ended up changing the trajectory of the race. But they of course still recognize that this was a huge opportunity to talk to a big audience. So close to election day, sara yep, the argument is, we need another debate. Presidential one. A lot of people are hoping for probably wednesday it. Thank you so much. Appreciate it. Mj lee there for us. John. All right. With us now in Studio Governor jared polis, democrat from colorado governor. Thank you so much for being with us. He talked about the relative civility in the debate. There are some on the left who wanted to see more fire from Governor Walz, the New York Times collect sort of realtime commentary on the debate. Let me read you a few of what they said. It said Governor Walzs for simone sanders, Governor Walz is not prosecuting the case, rather, its a nice fast if you agree with vance on so much, then why should we vote for you . Osher on gaza said walz has missed a Lot Lot of opportunities to go on the Attack And Point out vances lives in a bankruptcy. And jen psaki, former biden White House press secretary, said, i was missing the magic and the organic spontaneity of Tim Walz look one of the most important things in politics is to be authentic, be who you are. Tim walz is a nice guy. Hes a good guy. Thats who he is. I think that came through. This is a guy who is a coach a dad, veteran, served united states congress, very effective governor. I think the most telling moment was at The End where Jd Vance a. Failed that ultimate test of character, would you stand up to Donald Trump if Donald Trump ties can override the vote of the american people. And he refused to answer, and he was very clear when Tim Walz, so thats why Mike Pence isnt on the stage. Age today. Can Tim Walz afford to be nice when it comes to Jd Vance and the case that the democrats are trying to make about him will Look Absolutely. You have people all over, of course, in Donald Trumps own worst enemy is himself. You listened to over 5. He turns most people off. Again in choosing a running mate, Tim Walz were Kamala Harris was saying, is look, theres a better vision for america. We can be better than this, right . We can speak to the better angels of the american spirit. Tim walz is a terrific guy. Hes the person along with Kamala Harris who can bring this country together, right . We need somebody that we can all be proud of his president and Vice President , not just somebody who gets in the dirt and fights. It was a little bit more than a month left to go. This may have been the last debate of this entire Election Cycle. Whats left, whats left for you in the Harriswalz Ticket . A change minds. Firstly, its up to Kamala Harris. Were gonna have another president ial debate. Shes ready shes really works right . A host while wed love you to do it. And Kamala Harris well be there, but i hope the other guy shows up, right. Look, i think its a matter of getting out the vote. Yes, theres a few people that are still undecided who, who are they . I mean, again, just a couple of percent of people, right . I think the key question for them is that they want to go back to the police its actually the past or just move forward as a country, putting these divisions behind us, and then of course, john, they Get Out The Vote, the basic on the ground, Get Out The Vote effort. Who votes, whos motivated to vote . Those people on the margins if they vote, theyre going to support Kamala Harris. Are they going to come out and vote . And that work is occurring, especially in those Swing States to make sure that we do everything we can to talk about the importance of this election for our economy, for affordability. And of course, to protect the democracy of our country. Couple of big events in just the last what, 48 hours we have. Whats going on the Middle East, the exchanges. Well, iran Shooting Missiles in to israel. And we also have the Dock Worker strikes. So you have these two events. Im wondering what you think the impact of instability might be the next month, you know, beyond the impact of every, of every particular issue. And i thought, you know, Tim Walz and Kamala Harris are doing a Great A Job of talking about Donald Trumps lack of a Health Care Plan that would strip protections from preexisting conditions, but beyond any particular issue, its about who do you trust to handle the issues of the day . Whos going to be that thoughtful, stable force going forward versus the chaos and the unpredictability that weve seen from Donald Trump last time around that we would see again when it comes to Foreign Policy when it comes to dealing with potentially nuclear powers like iran, its critical. We have somebody that we trust and we can rely on to defend american interests here and abroad. What do you think of Jd Vance on that Debate Stage, some people Look At it and say, oh, he tried to polish some of the edges, soften some of the sharp edges well, look, i mean, if youre, if youre looking for a car salesman, hes your guy. I mean, i think he looked at shifty. He looked at slick of course, hes good at what he does. He talks in different groups in different ways. No question about it. But at The End of the day, he failed to say he would side with the american people over Donald Trump. But i think thats one of the problems and one of the reasons many Swing Voters are moving away from Donald Trump is they know that Hes Horizon surrounds himself with sick offense and yes, man, rather than people that are willing to a legitimate discussion about how to move america forward. Youve had a backandforth with Donald Trump for years. How do you think Donald Trump . Will react to people saying that Jd Vance is doing a better job at prosecuting the case for trump than trump is himself. Well really, i mean, knowing the guy is probably going to cut him down a peg two and thats why he is hard to work for. He cant keep a cabinet, he cant keep any buddy whos qualified to do the job its important that we recruit people to run the different agencies of the federal government that are calling competent that are effective. Kamala harris will do that. Donald trump has failed once and hell fail again. Governor jared polis, great to see you in person. Thanks for coming in. Like why she will have to go to colorado will be an even trade. Lets do it. All right. Nice. See you federal prosecutors have filed a new indictment against two former Louisville Police officers involved in the death of breonna taylor. This is coming from new reporting by the associated press, the new indictment includes new allegations that the former officers, Joshua Jaynes and Kyle Meany in details how they falsified the affidavit that it was used for the Search Warrant. The same officers were federally charged in 2022, but a judge dismissed those charges this summer Brianna Taylor died in March Of 2020 when the police is carried out a noknock Search Warrant on her home her boyfriend fired a shot saying they thought an intruder was bursting and at the time that triggered volley of fire, the officers hit and killed breonna taylor, sparking nationwide protests. Today, one of the two doctors charged in connection with Matthew Perry Grays Death is expected to appear in court in a deal with federal prosecutors, dr. Mark Chavez Set is set to formerly plead guilty today to one count of conspiring to distribute Tribute Ketamine to Matthew Perry, a federal judge has already ordered javas to surrender his medical license, barring him from practicing medicine the La Medical Examiner said ketamine, the drug contributed to perrys Drowning Death at his home last year Sean Diddy Combs is facing new Allegations Today of Sexual Assault and abuse. This is coming from more than 100 people the houstonbased attorney says that hes been hired by these new accusers and plans to file civil suits against combs. The allegations come from men, women, and it also includes 25 people who say they were minors when the alleged crimes were committed. Combss attorney responded to these new allegations calling them false and defamatory comes as already as you will remember, currently in jail awaiting trial on criminal Sex Trafficking and racketeering charges, sara new this morning, a massive strike by dockworkers over Pay And Automation issues. It has the Countrys East and Gulf Coast ports at a standstill, a strike of this magnitude could significantly disrupt the goods that come in and go out of the united states. Both sides have yet to come back to the table here with me now is cnns vanessa yurkevich. When my people see the effects of all this and what will that look like not yet. There may be some Panic Buying happening which weve seen some people reported empty shelves, but that could be Panic Buying in terms of when people actually feel this port strike, probably believe this strike extends past a week. And the first things that youre going to notice are perishable items, fruits and vegetables, frozen items that obviously cant keep in containers. And if theyre not coming into the country, theyre not grown they were else in the united states, particularly bananas, about 50 of all bananas come in through ila ports. That are on strike right now. But the Department Of Transportation is really monitoring Price Gouging that may be happening. We see this unnatural disasters. People tried to take advantage. Theyre going to be monitoring Ship Lines to make sure that theyre not theyre not adding surcharges on things coming into this country. Also, the biden administration has said that there youre gonna be looking out for Price Gouging from businesses and retailers really trying to keep an eye on that. But every time, every day the port is closed, it takes three to five days to recover hover. And one week of closure could cost the u. S. Economy 2. 1 billion. And this could actually have a significant impact on us gdp on an annualized rate. We could see a reduction of 4. 5 billion just because because of this strike and major retailers though, they got wind of this strike. So they were able to bring things in early Holiday Shopping should not be interrupted, but smaller businesses who really rely on these Ship Lines to bring goods in, they could really be the ones struggling thank first at The End of the day, they could be hit. I remember i covered this once in california were the longshoremen there in Long Beach and in other areas were on strike and it did have somewhat of an impact. I do want to ask you about whether this will also hurt other jobs because obviously you just talked about how long it would take for them to get things back rolling, which means theres got to be a lot of people who rely on the longshoremen getting the goods here to then take it where the Ripple Effect, the Ripple Effect of jobs. The first thing youre going to see impacted his truckers, truckers who go to the ports to pick up all of these goods and products, move containers, theyre going to be impacted and then ultimately the Businesses Cant get what they need to sell to every day, americans. And thats when you start to see inflation. You start to see prices going up just because theres not enough available. And according to one estimate, we could see
