What weve seen so far is as many as 37 people were killed over those two days. As a result of these explosions almost 3,000 people injured as a result. Now, many of those who are in jordan killed were members of hezbollahs some way affiliated with the group. In fact, what weve seen is that the Death Toll over the last two days for hezbollah has been 38. Thats the largest Death Toll over a 48 Hour Period since the beginning of the hostilities between israel and his buttock last october. Now, five of them were killed on the front and the south. But that means 33 of them were killed as a result of these explosive Exploding Pagers. And walkie talkies. And as a result of the uneasiness caused by these explosions, the army has had to to carry out a variety of controlled explosions of suspicious devices. And in fact, the airport here in beirut has put out a notice that all pagers and walkietalkies are banned from any flight out of beirut. I think our concern is the potential of escalation, opening a northern front. Obviously, things are still very tense. The questions were starting to ask her why at this particular moment in time, again secretary blinkens in the region were doing everything we can to try to minimize escalation you get to a ceasefire, got to a release of hostages. And unfortunately, i think this makes it that much harder and what is your sense as to why these attacks were initiated . Do we do have that information . I think we dont at this moment in time, i think the question really is, okay. Why at this moment in time, again if the goal is to minimize an escalation of the conflict, to minimize the possibility of regional conflict that seems like were heading that direction. And i think those are questions that we would have for the israeli government would hope that the biden administration, im sure they are having those conversations. Were seeing the violence escalates in the West Bank and i think this is moving in the opposite direction then what wed like to see, wed like to get to a ceasefire wed like to get to a release of the hostages and then hopefully chart a Path Forward and congressman a source tells cnn that israeli prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will not meet with president biden during next weeks, Un General Assembly in New York. Do you think thats a mistake . I think its a mistake from Prime Minister netanyahus perspective. But again, hes been less than cooperative. My perspective from the israeli population is that they would like to get the hostages released as well i think the only ones that are benefiting from an escalation of the conflict really is around in their Proxy Groups and im very worried worried about what comes next for Israel India and congressman, do you want to switch gears, talk to you a little bit about the campaign. And what we know is that we have Grassroots Organizations and ball, they are speaking for communities there, speaking for their neighbors. So its about touching people where they are. The most trusted voices during Election Season are the people with, are the grassroots folk in the communities who are speaking for communities. Is that a concern to the Harris Campaign . What do you think youd love to have every endorsement available by The End of the day. Again, thats about individuals going out to vote. We know that the Vice President has received endorsements from other major but unions, including United Auto Workers and american federation of teachers. So thats really important. But also we know that there been local chapters at teamsters, local leaders who have endorsed the Vice President and the vice parts of has been very prounion. So obviously, its at their discretion whether or not to make an endorsement, but the Vice President has said from the beginning that she is running as an underdog. So he has any secret Service Detail thats been stepped up since the first attempted assassination but unless youre going to put many more officers on the ground and start scoping out every place around this huge property. Youre going to have to depend on Secret Service to do what they did here and they succeeded. So i thought this was not a Failure Congress on this one. I think they should get a lot of praise for the way that the Secret Service handled this interesting. Dave, i remember from my days covering trump at the White House that i believe this Golf Course was one of those places where News Photographers could even stick the cameras through the bushes and get footage of Donald Trump out there on the Golf Course. Does the Golf Course need to put up a Wall Or Something to sort of harden the security there is there more that can be done . From that standpoint yes. That could be a benefit, but you know how it is with walz, trump would probably try to ask mexico to pay for it, but eventually if it does happen, theyll take some time and it could ruin the aesthetics, but that is something that they may have to consider because its not totally realistic to have a Secret Service. People continually monitoring every bit of that property afterwards especially after the election. Now, right now, perhaps that is a good idea because of the heightened threats out there. Were getting close to the election. But as far as whether Secret Service had a failure, not id say no unless you want to put many more means, of dollars into having a much larger secret Service Detail wherever he goes. At all times and dave, what is the latest on the investigation . I mean, do we know more about the motivation of the suspect in this case what can you tell us . Well, it looks like what we thought from the beginning that this is a guy with a Screw Loose who is a megalomaniac who thinks hes on the level of world leaders, kim jong un, Donald Trump, Joe Biden, elon musk. Hes trying to get elon musks to send him rockets and hes recruiting afghan soldiers to go fight in ukraine . He was seen as a bit of a kook. Now, that doesnt mean he can get away with an Insanity Defense, jim, because hed have to prove he didnt know the difference between right and wrong. And when he fled right after he was caught, that shows he knew what he did was wrong. And illegal. So thats going to be hard for him to do.
