Welcome to cnn this morning. Im poppy harlow with Phil Mattingly in new york. Erin burnett is live in tel aviv. A hostage released by hamas yesterday is now speaking. She is tell her story this morning at the hospital. 85yearold Yocheved Lifshitz told reporters how she was abducted and held captive underground for weeks. The grandmother says they stormed her kibbutz and took her away on a motorbike and beat her with sticks. She says they took her in hamas underground Tunnel Network and held had her with four other ginls. They had guards, a doctor and paramedics who took care of them. Hamas had a stockpile of shampoo and other toiletries for hostages to use. There are huge network of tunnels underneath. It looks like a spiderweb. When she first arrived, they told them that they are muslims and they are not going to hurt them. And that they share they ate the same food that the hamas was eating. They have released four hostages as israeli troops gear up to launch an assault by gaza by ground, sea, and air. The Israeli Military says it struck more than 400 targets across gaza in the past day killing hamas commanders and fighters as more than 200 hostages are believed to be held by hamas inside gaza including 30 children. Lets go to erin burnett in tel aviv. Erin, hearing from her, all of those details, including, by the way, criticism of the idea and lack of preparedness, was remarkable this morning. Reporter it was remarkable. She had criticism for the idf. You know how they write they, obviously, werent there. You know, also, poppy, something stands out in the mundane necessity. You are talking about tunnels. We know the tunnels have ventilation and airconditioning, this is all reports that we have heard from the israelis over the years but the fact she is saying she was held under ground for more than two weeks that there was shampoo, antibiotics, a guard per hostage and the experience she had, that there were medics and paramedics and, obviously, she is elderly. The other woman released also elderly and had medical needs and they had the medicine needed and if not something similar to replace it. It is pretty stunning because you have to contrast that abovend ground, right, where there isnt water, nevermind shampoo, they dont have water. This they are using toilet water. There is no morphine for any kind of amputations. Antibiotics, no. Right . But hamas stockpiled all of that and has that underground and thats what we are learning from her. To that point, erin, and i want to play the sound, because it gets at just how prepared they were for taking hostages including at the scale they took them. Take a listen. Translator they looked very well prepared. They prepared it for a long period of time. All of the needs for female, that women need, shampoo, conditioner. Did that surprise you . Everyone was surprised by the scale of the Terror Attack itself, but the preparations for hostagetaking also seemed to be a significant piece of the plan. Yes. When they say prepared for things womens needs, okay, they were there for prepared i mean, thats just we are going honest. They had tampons and things, okay . That is a level of preparation for what they were going to do, right. And it shows that they were going to take people of all different ages, right. So a preparation for that. And, you know, we saw that in the plans that we have seen taken from the bodies of hamas militants who were killed in the Terrorist Attack, that it lays out what they were going to do in every single kibbutz and the ones i read what they are going to do with hostages. Take as many as possible. Here is the communal eating area, here is the map, its circled. Take the hostages there. Was part of the printed plan. Now you see the other end. The level of preparation that went into it. Again in the mundane reality of having feminine hygiene products, shampoo and antibiotics, it is those very specifics that i think are most striking. For sure. And, erin, also, i wonder if well learn from her or the other hostages how much they had. Which would indicate how long they had been planning or have been planning to hold the hostages. So we will see. I also thought this was striking that her daughter spoke at that News Conference as well. This is what she said about her dad, who, of course, is her husband. Listen. My mom and dad was separated at the very beginning. And so we do not know for my moms story what happened to my dad. We do know that he was injured. Injured and very likely could still be being held. Reporter yeah, absolutely. They were kept in separate places. As much as hamas is giving an image of humane treatment to hostages, you must remember that they were hostages. Remember what happened to the people who didnt get to become hostages. The horrible and brutal and inhuman method of their brutal massacre and slaughter. When they took people hostages they would separate. A husband and wife not together and she doesnt know where he is. And that is the obvious raises the obvious point, we dont know where they are being held and are they being held in larger groups. Hamas said some of the hostages have been killed in israeli airstrikes. We dont know if they were killed by israeli airstrikes or anything else. They have indicated 22 killed in strikes. We dont know if its true. The Israeli Forces preparing for the gaza Ground Invasion are getting counsel from an American Military leader on the ground in israel. Marine corps lieutenant James Glen Head of the special Operations Command and it is unclear while of course he has the experience and resume for for such a situation, unclear what his specific role is here. An official says general glen has decades of experience and can ask the hard questions as the unc does not have a clear intention in gaza. They have not provided any specifics. Cnns Nic Robertson is in israel where he has been since the beginning of the war. As we have been in the midst of now 17 days into a war, what are you seeing in terms of Military Movement this morning in the context of more than 300 strikes that israel is saying they conducted in the past 24 hours in gaza . Reporter yeah, and to go back to what you were saying about the former marine general, i think the other piece of context is the fact that we know there is a Marine Expeditionary unit of 2,000 on readiness and stand by to come and give logistic support, another unspecified support to the Israeli Military at a time when there are american hostages on the being held by hamas inside gaza. So it seems when you pick and choose which general to come and give what sort of advice, you are also picking one who would be very familiar with the sort of expertise, readiness and what the marines are sitting offshore have at their disposal. Speaks to me as coordination as well. Of course, thats not what were being told. When it comes to the readiness, we heard from the Prime Minister today, Prime Minister benjamin netanyahu, when he was speaking with the french president Emmanuel Macron who has given his support to israels right to strike back to hamas the Prime Minister said it could be a long war. I am struck by the fact he said it could be because until now he has been very clear we will go after them and get the job done, get completely get hid of hamas. I think this is indicative of the fact that there is no stepping back from the possibility of a ground incursion. We are not seeing anything on the ground at the moment that would indicate that. Hef detonations in gaza, Military Helicopters in the area this morning. So what we heard from the Israeli Defense cheer yesterday, head of general staff saying that they are ready that, troops are ready, they are getting additional training. I think the posture is set for when the command comes, that the troops are ready for that incursion. Very clear that they are being paused for a clear that has to do with humanitarian aid, has to do with hostages. The connections we dont see. That force is there. Its ready to go. I dont see anyone pulling it back at the moment. Reporter thank you very much on the gaza border. I want to go to Lieutenant Colonel peter learner. I want to give you first a chance to response to what we were saying was one of the things that have stood out as the hostage spoke out that hamas was prepared for this. Feminine hygiene products, shampoo, antibiotics. Paramedics. Medical care. Eating the same food adds the hostages ate. How do you respond to that . Well, clearly, erin, they were prepared for the attack. We see just the magnitude of their attacks. They had a very clear Plan Of Action T it shouldnt be a surprise to us that this is what they had underground as they abducted over 200 people into gaza. I remind you, they did a coordinated attack with more than 20 points of breach over ground, at ground and at sea. They penetrated some 30 different communities across the across southern israel and butchered and murdered and raped over 1,400 people. So why should we be surprised if that was the level of preparation, they are also taking care of the preparations required for the people that they intended to abduct. And as you rightly pointed out, the Hygiene Items identify the fact that they were actually intended to abduct women, intending to abduct the elderly. They didnt care. They just wanted to Abduct Israelis for israelis. Civilians is what they are holding. They need to object released. They need to be released now. This is the situation twer in today. I want to give you a chance now to the reporting that israel is willing to delay its Ground Invasion for a few more days. Obviously, its already been delayed. You have been ready go for 16 days, 15 days, whatever the technical day point may be that you want to say since you were ready, willing to delay for a large hostage release and a senior israeli official saying if hamas proposing a package we will be ready to do things in return. Can you comment on that . Erin, you know, i cant specifically. There are two conditions for any Ground Mobilization of the idf. The government decision to mobilize. There needs to be a green light from the government that tells us to goin. There is need for a political kai log or diplomatic dialogue to be ongoing. The second is operational the optimal Operational Requirements of a military ground operation. With every day that goes by, we are a more professional force, more prepared, better prepared, a better equipped force. We are not in a rush. As you pointed out, the government hasnt limited our timeframe for this operation. On the contrary. They have said it will take a long time because we understand that fighting this type of war is a very challenging process. So we are not in a rush. We are determined to destroy hamas, make sure it never, ever attacks our people, abzukts or people, butcher our people, murder our people, and where we are heading at this time. So until those two conditions are made clear, that is basically where we will be standing. We need to be prepared. We need the government to give tus that green light. Reporter i want to play Something Else that, you know, Yocheved Lifshitz, one the hostages said when she was speaking this morning. Specifically about Israeli Intelligence and what happened to her that morning. Here she is. Translator the lack of awareness by shin bet and idf hurt us a lot. They warned us, three weeks beforehand they sent Fire Balloons and the idf did not treat it seriously. Reporter so, colonel, can you respond to that . She is saying specifically and appears to be from conversations she would have had with her captors that Israeli Defense forces and the Israeli Intelligence apparatus both domestic and foreign focused had a threeweek warning. She goes into the detail on that and say that they failed. What do you say to that . There is clearly a failure on several levels of the idfs readiness and preparedness, the intelligence community. There will be a time to investigate and get to the bottom of it exactly what was missed, if it of indeed these fires that were launched, incendiary devices launched against israel and was this the warning sign that should have prepared us for this attack. Indeed, there is the intelligence failure, the barrier failure, the forces on the ground failure. All of these will be investigated at a time. We are currently focus odd on making sure it doesnt happen again. Reporter colonel, one more final question. Hamas has said that 22 of the hostages have been killed in israeli airstrikes. We dont know if they were killed in zach edey airstrikes or any other we dont know anything. Do you know . Do you think that 22 hostages have been killed . Heres what i know. We are conducting smallscale raids around the border and we are still collecting bodies of israelis that they have killed on the way as they were abducting them into gaza. We know that we need to be very, very cautious in taking anything that hamas has to say because their whole operation is an operation of manipulation and death. Lets not listen to what hamas is saying. They need to release the hostages. They need to release them now. They need to let her husband free. We heard from her daughter free about the concern for her father and they need to release the other 200 or so hostages. They need to let them go now. Thats what we are demanding, that is what we expect and that is the situation. Reporter colonel, thank you for your time this morning. Appreciate it. Poppy. Thank you. A lot of Important Information from him. We are also focusing on the humanitarian crisis in gaza that is getting worse not just by the day, but by the hour. Food, fuel, water, running out as these airstrikes continue. Clarissa ward is with us straight ahead. In gaza, Lim Trucks Have crossed the Rafah Border Carrying water, food and medicine. Aid agencies are calling for a ceasefire. Doctors warn without a lot nor fuel the wounded and vulnerable babies will die. Hamas says there is a power outage at one of the hospitals in gaza due tho that fuel shortage. It will soon become a mass grave if that fuel runs out. If it runs out of electricity, we have 150 patients ventilated because of the critical nature of their wounds. We cannot run the operating rooms. We cannot run the anesthetic machines. Effectively, the hospital, which now has around 1,700 wounded patients, three times its capacity, will cease to exist as a hospital. Clarissa ward joins us live from egypt. Despite those Reality Tease that he and doctors, heads of Aid Organizations have been laying out, mark, close advisor to benjamin netanyahu, made it clear last night on cnn to katlyn, no, we are not allowing fuel in because the israeli argument is hamas takes it and uses it for terror. Reporter right. And so you have this intractable issue. But the humanitarian situation growing more dire by the second. You talked to those doctors. Its not even just about incubators or ventilators. Its about desalination plants. The Water Doctors tell us people are drinking brackish water, seeing preeclampsia in pregnant woman because of the lack of clean water. They need the generators to power the desalination efforts. The knockon effect of this lack of fuel is catastrophic, but despite the efforts of humanitarian organizations, regional governments, you know, western diplomats and everyone coming to the table, the israelis said, as they told kaitlan collins, that they believe that it can be used for military purposes. It can be stolen by hamas. So unclear how this issue will get resolved, but in the meantime, it is having dire consequences. We interviewed a Doctor Yesterday who said two days left. So potentially you are talking about tomorrow as early as tomorrow totally running out of fuel. They have already, according to Health Officials inside gaza, turned off lights, for example, turned off airconditioning. They have tried to limit their consumption to the maximum of their ability, but the reality is without fuel, you are going to see a huge amount of deaths potentially, and still no sense that there is progress being made on finding some kind of a mechanism to appropriately deal with this issue, poppy. Also, the calculations that you and your team did about how much aid is actually getting into gaza, other aid, is stunning. Its about 1 of what normally would have gone into gaza in the last couple of weeks. Reporter right. So literally before the war youre talking 455 trucks a day of aid going into gaza. Thats according to the u. N. So over a 16, 17day period, normally you would have had more than 7,000 trucks of aid going into gaza. In the last 17 days, and its really just the last three days, you havent even had 60 trucks of aid going in. And dont forget, poppy, all off this is happening against the bac backdrop of some of the most punishing bombardment. Israel saying in the last 24 hours, they hit 400 targets. That is the highest number we have seen so far. The Gazan Health Ministry run by hamas saying that 700 people were killed in 24 hours. So you understand that even in a bestcase scenario, these hospitals are completely overwhelmed. Completely overrun. We talked to one doctor who said, in previous escalations, we might see a mass casualty event once or twice a day. Now we are seeing one every single hour. So that issue of getting in food, of getting in fresh water crucially, of getting in medical supplies and getting in fuel becomes that much more urgent. Quickly, before you go, how strike to go you to hear what the released hostage said this morning about all of the medical supplies that hamas has taken for those hostages . Its just such a stark contrast to what the hospitals in gaza are dealing with. Its a stark contrast. Honestly, its chilling because it speaks to the level of preparation that was in place. The fact that when she was led into these tunnels there were doctors waiting to treat her. Hamas understands that these hostages are very valuable both on a Propaganda Level in terms of trying to show the outside world they are treating them with decency or respect, which by all accounts they are certainly not. But also in terms of leverage. They understand they need to try to keep as many of these hostages alive as possible and that is not true it does not appear for palestinian civilians. Thank you for the reporting. Live from cairo, egypt. A few hours Michael Cohen is expected to be called to testify in the New York Civil Fraud Trial against his old boss, donald trump. This will be the first time in five years cohen and trump are in the same room together. New York Attorney general Letitia James office said they opened after cohens testimony to congress that trump inflated the value of his property. Lets go to cnns Jen Bren Grass live outside the new york courthouse. First time inside the same courtroom. They used to be incredibly close. What do we expect today . Reporter yeah, i mean, this is going to be a Pivotal Moment in the Attorney Generals case as she tones to work to essentially put the trumps out of business in the state of new york. As you said, recent years we have seen a public feud between Michael Cohen and donald trump whether it be on social media, in interviews, but this is going to be the first time that they are in the same room together. And much of cohens testimony is going to focus on when he was in the room with his boss at the time talking about financial statements, talking about Donald Trumps net worth and the discussions they had according to the Attorney General about how the trumps inflated their net worth to get business loans. Its going to be interesting testimony. Certainly something that everyone will be very clued in on essentially for donald trump especially rather pause he has been very into the testimony he is listening to but this is certainly one of a different level. We are also expecting to hear from one other witness before Michael Cohen takes the stand today, but we are waiting to hear what he has to say before he leaves his new york apartment. I am sure we will hear from former president because he always talks before he heads into the new york courtroom. We will hear what they have to say about each other. It will be dramatic day here definitely at the new york courthouse when cohen eventually takes the stand this morning. Like the most new york day in a new york courthouse i can imagine. Thank you. Joining us cnn political commentator Alyssa Fair Griffen and writer and host of the very serious podcast josh barro. You have some thoughts on cohen and trump . The problem with Michael Cohen as a witness is he is a convicted felon, including perjuryism would expect the Attorney General with his system is bringing him on to talk about things they can provide documentary evidence, emails, text messages. He was in the room. You would want him to talk about what was said in the rooms. There is going to have to be a trust verify thing because the trump team not unreasonably will say cohen is a convicted liar. How crazy the backdrop this is what the gop frontrunner is dealing with today and this is just a civil fraud case. There are two others, two department of justice, the fulton county, georgia, investigation. The world feels like its on fire, gaza, congress doesnt have a speaker of the house. I thought trump put it in good context. He was grounded on the realities of the moment when he was talking about the prosecutions he is facing in new hampshire. Take a listen. I dont mind being Nelson Mandela because im doing if for a reason. Right . I mean, yes, naturally. Come on. Really . What are we doing here . I dont know that anybody could have a great answer. That is the pitch. Nelson mandela is a gratuitous way to put it. But the only way to run for president under multiple criminal indictments, you have to argue that you are being politically persecuted. Otherwise, why would anyone elect you . That is the i think i dont agree with him about it. We need to take seriously that is the argument. The argument is all of these prosecutions are being brought against me because they fear me politically and want to punish me and not because i committed a wide variety of crimes. I feel like comparing yourself to mandela is a little bit further. That is, you know, thats his argument to his base. I mean, he is, you know, he is seen as the champion of this movement that is fighting against the deep state and whatnot. Its ridiculous. But i think, you know, i dont know that i dont know that laughing is going to get his opponents no other news, trump knows who could be speaker of the house. Listen. Would you endorse tom emmer for speaker . He is the most likely candidate right now. I think he is my biggest fan now because he called me yesterday and he told me youre my biggest fan. I dont know about that. We are looking at tat the lot o people. I am sort of trying toer to stay out of that. There is only one person who can do that all the way. You know who that is . Jesus christ. Jesus said i want to be speaker. He would do it. Not available. So . Like, listen, tom emmer is very much the favorite. Even he is Setting Expectations low for the vote saying it may be on the second or third ballot that he gets the support. This is crisis of republicans own making. Yes, started with the gang of eight or gaetz eight. This is such a divided conference. You basically need to have no more than four enemies to become the speaker. I am not sure that exists for anyone right now. Emmer voted to certify the election. As far as democrats see it, he is probably the least bad option from their perspective so. I think this probably trends his direction. Where democrats are now is fascinating to me. Some say why are they they shouldnt get involved. They play this extraordinarily well. How does this land them . News reports about the potential willingness of deputies have some sit out the speaker vote to get tom emmer over the top if they can get private assurances about Government Funding and funding for ukraine and that sort of thing. That getting out into the press end emmer well, thats in the press now. You know, its not in the press under a particular game. But if there is an impression that tom emmer that has a deal with democrats, that will be a problem for republicans. The question is democrats are comfortable on an implicit basis. Sort of hoping and expecting he is going to behave in a manner they think is acceptable on Government Funding because thats the most they can likely to get. The other alternative for democrats is this whole thing can fail, designate one are more additional speaker dez ig knees and fail to get a majority on the floor and empower Patrick Mchenry the acting speaker and thats something that democrats may also play ball on in a way that would be limited in time or limited to topics so they have that option available. I am skeptical of this reporting that democrats may sit out votes to empower emmer. They dont stand to gain much from it. Letting republicans remain in chaos to the November 17th Funding Battle is actually the best thing for them electorally. Not sure its the best for the country. Not the best thing for the country. The efforts in ukraine, israel. So i think thats an option that the conference is weighing. Mccarthy is backing emmer. Where does jim jordan go here . If he carries a significant enough block that can put some pressure behind Somebody Else kind of a conservative alternative. Look, when you have a panel that gets into mandela, jesus, Michael Cohen, tom emmers whip count, this is as good as it gets. Appreciate you guys. Cnn is on the ground in the west bank where the war is driving a wedge that is fracturing generations of trust between jews and palestinians. Thats ahead. Something is being cracked. Something is not the same anymore. Welcome back. Im erin burnett live in tel aviv. Just in. The hamascontrolled Ministry Of Health in gaza says 704 team in gaza have been killed in 24 hours. That is the highest daily number that they have put out since the idf strikes in gaza began. We did just moments ago a here over the past 20 minutes what i would describe as the heaviest number of strikes we have feld in tel aviv and gaza, felt in, frankly, the past two weeks. Airstrikes in gaza creating concerns for People Living in the west bank. Sara sidner is live in jerusalem today. She spent time there. You got rare access to an israeli settlement in the west bank . Reporter yeah, erin, there is a definite increase in violence and killings that have happened in the west bank since october 7th. Those numbers in the dozens of palestinians who have been killed, but also dozens more injured by the Israeli Security apparatus. We took a look at what was going on because settlers as well have been accused of violence against palestinians and vice versa. We went to one of the settlements and talked to those there as well as the palestinians on the other side. Armed and on high alert. Overseeing 40 jewish settlements in the west bank. Hins hamas Terror Attack on israel, he considers them nazis. Translator we are standing against a nazi enemy as cruel as the cavemen from 3,000 years ago that carried out a massacre on our brothers in the south. Reporter Jewish Settler presence has always been fraught. Deemed illegal by International Law. The events of october 7th have put these settlements on a war footing. Cnn gained rare access twoun of the hundreds of settlements dotted throughout the Palestinian Territories. Armed patrols are now everyday occurrences. Fortified perimeters segregate jewish communities from palestinian. Local husbands, fathers, and son volunteers keep the unwanted out at all times. Stopped going to work and called his local draft office in the days after the attack. We need to protect ourselves because we are surrounded by people who dont necessarily like us. I didnt feel like i have to go fight, but definitely defend my home. He has had enough. Reporter and the situation is no childs play. He says their world was turned upside down on october 7th. That day, october the 7th, was shabbat. At the end we say a prayer and sorry. Some of it is reporter whats the prayer . Asking god to help us and to keep our children safe and to keep our soldiers safe and some of these words i just couldnt say them because , you know, we werent safe on october 7th. Reporter palestinians say they werent safe from some settlers long before october 7th and its only gotten more violent since. Hanen is a palestinian activist and a former Palestinian Liberation Organization official in the west bank. They tell you that why are you committing a war crime . Why are you living on Palestinian Land . Illegally. Just because israel tells you can . This is occupied territory. Reporter she says the Palestinian Territories are shrinking beyond recognition because of the illegal settlements. And then there is the growing settler palestinian violence. Much of the violence has been caught on camera. Here Jewish Settlers throw rocks and fire guns at palestinian homes. In another incident, after a confrontation, a Jewish Settler shoots at an apparently unarmed palestinian in the stomach. We asked about this incident. How do you defend the palestinians who have been killed by settlers . Translator am i supposed to explain to cnn why terrorists that tried to kill civilians or soldiers were shot by security forces, the police or army . With all due respect, i dont really understand the question. Reporter we clarified in english and hebrew, showing him the video. What you are showing me is an edited video of attempts of terrorists hurt and kill jews that are protecting themselves. This happens a lot. Unfortunately, there arent two equal sides. Reporter the video is not edited, but palestinians agree with one thing he says. The sides are not equal. They are the overwhelming victims in this, they say. They are on the rampage. They gave them he has with and encouraged them and gave them support and protection by the israelis occupation army. Reporter israels Hardline National Security minister. He ayou announced the purchase of 10,000 guns to arm civilian security teams. He himself began passing them out. Gun ownership used to be heavily restricted in israel, but those laws have changed and now settlers are getting a huge amount of weapons. Back in settlement, to the home where she raised her five children. Here they have had a peaceful coexistence with their palestinian neighbors. I live here for 24 years. I never feared. Reporter and now . Somethings cracked. I think every mother in israel these days feels the same. Something is not the same anymore. Reporter and what is not the same is what happened on october 7th. Everyone who we spoke with in the settlement said that their fear is higher than its ever been. I should say that historically, the reason why the Jewish Population lives in those settlements is because they believe it is a part of their biblical land that they refer to as judea and samaria. The International Community and International Law says different, it is Palestinian Land that has been illegally taken over. But also she is a mother of five who says she also moved there because the land was inexpensive. She could afford a house and yard for her kids. She has five children. Two of them are in the idf. She is extremely worried about them as well. Guys, back to you. Sara, thank you very much. In jerusalem this morning. And we are getting brandnew details right now from a hostage who has been released by hamas talking about her time in captivity in great detail. So what does it tell the world about whats happening in gaza . Christiane amanpour will join us to discuss. I went through hell. We didnt think we could get l. Just released from hamas. He spoke at length about her detainment, the conditions and the tunnels she was detained in gaza how they were treated. This comes as the humanitarian crisis in gaza deepens for the people dropped there. Food, water running out, as israel unleashes air strikes on the region. Christiane amanpour joins us live from lontddon. I want to start with what we heard from the release. It was so striking. We heard so little about the conditions, what they are, what they are dealing with. With what did you take away from that from your perspective . Reporter it was moving. Like many of you, i spoke to her daughter. She came in the studio here just a few days ago. She spoke so movingly about her parents. How sthey were peacenicks and hw her father gave ride to those who had try to get jobs over the last few years. Its relieving to see her mother be released and see her sitting with her. The details about the tunnel complex, about the health care, the food, where they were. We understand in the south of gaza, which as you know, is where the israelis have told palestinians to move to from northern gaza. Interesting that hamas captors kept at least her and her group of hostages in the south, potentially thinking that was a more security part. It dovetails a little bit what ive been saying to people on phone. I asked what they are doing with the hostages, when they let them go, et cetera. From the beginning, they said they were treating them well. That makes sense. She made that clear, they were treated well. As cynical as it sounds, they also, you know, are currency. They need to be treated well, in order for them to be released and for hamas, if they think they can negotiate, to get anybody back. I found that interesting. Clearly, the network of tunnels, interesting. The difference between how she was treated to how roughly she was man handled, when the Terrorist Attack took place. She described how she was taken and slammed on to the back of a motorbike. She is elderly, 85 years old and had to lie down on the side of the motorbike. It was a first description of what was going on inside. Certainly for her group of hostages. How about the fact there is a new reporting from axios. We had the reporter on earlier in the program, that israel is willing to hold on a Ground Inversion to hope for a big group of hostages to be released. Very long wars ahead. The idf saying they are ready to go by air, land and ski. After all of your reporting and so many years in the region, do you think israel hopes for a big group of hostages to come out . I dont think its about hope. Theres so much negotiation going on, including with israeli negotiators, meetmediators who the hamas contacts and others who have hamas contacts. These are mostly with political hamas. And no matter what anybody says, theres a growing feeling that there may be a big division between political and military hamas. Thats what one of the israeli negotiators said.
