Laura coates live starts right now. A. Laura. Hey abby, thank you so much. A great show as always. Ill read that book, for sure. Ill see you again here tomorrow night, okay . Im sure you can. All my free time. There are two more hostages now freed, but what about those who are still being held . There are more than 200 of them and they are somewhere in gaza. Tonight on laura coates live. The news tonight is bittersweet. Seeing the footage of 79 year old cooper and 85yearold thing helped out is an image none of us will soon forget. The frailty, their age, all of us trying to imagine how they were treated the day they were taken, what happened in those moments, let alone what they must have endured in the interim. Well now both women are freed, theyve been released by hamas after more than two weeks in captivity. Medics say that two unaffiliated media outlet that theyre both in stable condition. They are in a tel aviv hospital tonight. But their husbands, who were kidnapped with them, are still being held by hamas. Daniel lifshitz talked to Anderson Cooper just a little while ago after seeing his grandmother. I am telling you, we have to be fast. Seeing my grand mother like that, from one side so happy, but from the other side i see in her eyes what she has been through and i know that the timeline, the clock is ticking and making everything to bring all those hostages back. It is so evident now, it is the top mission now for everybody. We now know that four hostages have been released, but the Authorities Say that over the weekend they believe 210 people are still being held by hamas. That is 210 people held captive somewhere in gaza. When will their families see them again . Will they be freed and really how do you get any or all of them out or are they all somehow at the mercy of hamas and this slow drip of hostage is going to be released at a mosque the sole discretion . Meanwhile, back in the u. S. Of a, the Capital Chaos is continuing. First, mccarthy was ousted, then Steve Scalise dropped out even before a vote was on the floor, then jim jordan dropped out after three failed floor votes, then a secret valid to say he should not be the nominee. Now, dropped out before theres even a vote once again. And tonight it is congressman dannys are whos dropping out of the speakers race and now that leaves eight. Count him, eight others still in the running so far. We have got wonder how much any of them maybe really want that job. Do you think were Gonna Have Speaker tomorrow night . We might. I think all of us are capable, so weve got to stay here until we get done. We just want government to function, and this is dysfunctional. You thank . Remember, this job is not ceremonial, the house needs a speaker to do the job. Whether it is using that power of the purse, we all heard about, for aid, or to fund the government. Of course, funding is set to run out on november 17th. That is just 25 days away until another Government Shutdown. Will it be averted narrowly or otherwise . Or at all . Even if they cant Elect A Speaker, or if they can, or all of us paying a pretty high price this evening . I want to bring in and begin tonight with the two israeli women who were freed by hamas. We have with us cnns Alex Marquardt who is here with the latest on the freed hostages. Alex, a man who does not sleep and im glad that you are not these days because theres so much information coming in. What do we know about these two women who were released and about what went in to securing their freedom . We are learning a lot more and there are two families tonight who are extraordinarily happy to see these two women back safe and free. They have just arrived a couple of hours ago at that tel aviv hospital, airlifted from southern israel. We understand that they have taken a similar path out of gaza as of the two americans who were released on friday. They were released by hamas in the afternoon, we got news this afternoon here at local time. They were handed over to the red cross, which, you know, is as independent as an organization can be in gaza, which then took them south. They went through the rafah Border Crossing in Southwest Gaza and handed over to egyptian paramedics. We have seen them being transferred from the red cross ambulances to the egyptian ambulances and then, at some point, they were handed over to the israelis, as you said, in stable condition. So, these are two israeli women. They come out after two american women are released. Its unclear what the reasoning was behind this, whether it is because they are older, because they are frail. But by all accounts they seem to be in pretty good shape. But this does come, laura, at a time when the u. S. Is pressuring israel, we have learned, to delay the start of the Ground Invasion so that there can be more time for more hostages to be able to get out, for more aid to be able to get in. The israelis do not want to make it look like they are getting orders from the u. S. , and the u. S. Does not want to give that impression either. But we have heard repeatedly from the white house, from the biden administration, that their top priority is to get more of these american hostages home and we know that there are at least a handful, according to the white house. You know, it strikes me, so many people seeing those images come in, the questions of why them, why now, what has happened, and how many others are of the same age. You have young, young people, little children who have also been taken as well. So, how do you get them out and it speaks to really the gravitas of all of this. There is also, you know, there is the questions that we all have as perhaps cynics, then there is the optimists view. This is a light and what has been weeks of darkness that now have four hostages freed. Speak to me about what that has been like for the families who have been learning about all of this. When you look at these two women who released tonight, you cant help think that they look just like your mother or your grandmother. They are just regular people. You are reminded of the fact that these were people from all walks of life over just snatched from their homes, dragged across the border by this Terrorist Organization in gaza. Young children, older adults, men, yes there are some Israeli Soldiers in there as well. So this has been absolutely heartbreaking for those families. And these two women, though their families are happy, obviously, that theyre out tonight, their husbands are still inside. Their two couples were both kidnapped and so we did hear from the daughter of yochi lifshitz, the 85 year old who was released earlier today. She flew in from london to tel aviv and she spoke with our colleague Anderson Cooper saying that she is relieved, but she is still, of course, thinking about those who are still being held, including her father. Take a listen. It is impossible to describe. My mom, i think she has a good smile. I dont know. I am so delighted. But my heart is with, you know, this is a small ray of light in a big story that is still unfolding. My father is there, and so many other people. They are waiting for good news about everyone. Laura, like you, she was saying that this is a sign of things moving in the right direction, but there clearly is pressure on hamas to stop doing this sort of two by two trickle of releases and, really, released a much bigger group of people. Hamas may have demands it, theyre going to do that. Things like a ceasefire, more aid into gaza, and israel has already rejected the notion of a ceasefire and said they really need to maintain the pressure on hamas. Unbelievable. Alex marquardt, thank you so much as always. I cant imagine what that discussion was like to leave their husbands behind. I want to bring in a former Hostage Negotiator and navy seal commander, daniel osha. Daniel, i think is a perfect person to field these questions because so many of us have them. Weve got two elderly women now released today. The question, aside from the toy people have about the progress, so to speak, is what goes on Behind The Scenes to choose them in particular . What do you think hamas is trying to accomplish by this release . Well, of course, the fact that they have released two israelis every family that is desperate for news 12 or 20 hostages taken and held in gaza. Thats a positive step, but, at the end of the day, if there was truly a humanitarian gesture, why wouldnt they have released these two women with their husbands . So you are still keeping this family in terror and suspense and, again, obviously they were chosen because of their age. I mean, the whole world has stood up about the fact that the majority of these hostages are civilians, including grandparents, grandmothers who are released today and children. So that is part of. It and its a fight, its a propaganda move. They are trying to get World Opinion and world support for things like a ceasefire, for the idea of offensive did not go forward because there is now has been tremendous pressure Behind The Scenes by the u. S. And others to limit the response that israel is intended to take, and thats exactly why hamas did it and its why they chose these two women. I dont ever want to lose sight of this, and i know its were talking about the fact that there are hostages released and there is no moment of joy, obviously with that, i dont want to make it seem as though hamas has done some grand magnanimous gesture out of pure goodwill. I know youre not saying that. Just remind people, they would not be released had they not been hostages, had they not been taken in the first place. Of course, all the things that have come along with it. You spent two years in iraq dealing with, i think, over 400 kidnapping cases. And so youve been watching this over the years and as it unfolded. As the civilians are emerging from their captivity can you just walk us through, a little bit, about what this a debriefing must look like . They were with the paramedics today, but then what happened . What is the next couple of days like for them . Well, first and foremost, you get medical check and thats the first part of what is called the repatriation process. First and foremost, get make sure their health is taking care of. But even if they werent shot or wounded in the initial kidnapping, or their captivity, they are going to have mental scars. The shock of coming down. We have very few successful emissions in iraq over my two years, but i was able to do some repatriate icing and be a part of watching these in one case they had been held for 83 days in captivity and it is shellshocked. They are going to psychology, it is probably going on right now, but they are still terrified. Their husbands are still behind, so these women have a long road ahead of them for recovery and mental health. In a way it almost reminds me, for different reasons, about being a prosecutor and interviewing a witness who, on the one hand, you want them to give the information that you need, possibly to prevent other things from happening, and also balancing that Emotional Turmoil that the person is really facing. You know, there are israeli hostages who are believed to be underground. These hostages who have been repatriated, as you are talking about, might be able to give information about their surroundings, through their sensory experience, but what kind of a challenge does gaza present to a Rescue Effort for the rest . Gaza presents a challenge for Rescue Forces unlike anything ive seen in 20 odd years. We have pulled off Rescue Missions in the last 20 years, we have the greatest special Operations Forces on the planet, but the people of gaza, iraq, afghanistan, we only night. We had operating bases everywhere, we could fly at night, you could hear helicopters at night it was common. The critical thing for hostage rescues couple of things. Number one, proof of life. You dont want to send hostage Rescue Forces and go after a dead body. Obviously put their lives at risk. Second, a great. Youd want to know exactly where those hostages are, because the element of surprise is critical. A group like hamas you can assume theyre armed gunman, theyre standing watch, the moment they hear something the first reaction would be to kill the hostage. In a place like gaza, one of the most densely packed places on the earth, they have got apartments that are ten, 12 stories high. A hostage could be held on any floor, any room, and you want to be sure of what room and what floor in that Apartment Building it is, or in these Cavern Systems underneath the city and the mazes of the tunnels. If theyre held there its going to make a rescue even more challenging. And they have got daniel oshea, certainly the work cut out for you you described. Its mindboggling to think of what could take place next. Obviously this is real a wife and wartime. Daniel oshea, thank you so much. Here with me now, cnn Global Analyst kim dozier whos reported extensively on the region and former cbs news Foreign Correspondent dan lviv. It sends a even emit the great news that for ive already been released. But that moment that we have seen, i want to take a look for a second to that really emotional moment of seeing these two women be released. Take a look at this. Do we have . [speaking in a nonenglish language] [speaking in a nonenglish language] so, just watching this right now unfold. Seeing the images of them cannot. These are older women. Being hunted by the member of the paramedics. The emotional could be contemplated. When you think about that the, least and hamas feeling knew it would be taped in some way. Whats the hold here . To drag this out as long as possible. Hamas, we hear, has been wishing for fuel to be brought in now that theyre humanitarian purposes for that. But the longer that they can keep the releases going on, the longer they hope to delay any sort of ground operation. That said, the israelis have been trying to make it work for, them continuing with targeted airstrikes and weve also heard from the Israeli Defense forces today that targeted rates. So that tells the israeli population who is worried about all the hostages who havent yet been released that they are moving ahead, they are doing something. Theyre not just sitting at the border of gaza, waiting. So how does that play in with the Public Opinion on this. Because you described, kim said, a psychological warfare going on and trying to ensure that this may be delay tactic for human beings. But how does this play for Public Opinion . Ive been listening to the media detail almost every hour, that Saturday October 7th and the israelis are angry. More enraged than i ever heard them at all. Its clear that the Public Opinion has called for a major incursion into gaza to eliminated gaza once and for all. People who live in the communities they say that they wont come back, they were very concerned about that. They want people to live in peace, secure, all in all. The pressure on the Israeli Government is to go in. But theyve been holding off. Its already tuesday morning, 17 days since the atrocity as they put it. I think theyre able to hold off, apparently there is the pressure from the United States to keep delaying to give a chance for some hostages to be released, that again, it may be negotiated. This through qatar, and egypt, so negotiations should be fine. And if the israelis get more intelligence, and can try a rate or two to rescue some people, they would try that. So i dont think it would be that bad. But after a while, Public Opinion will say, hey, you have to move in. Thats an important win, and kim, when you think about the strategy, theres the Public Opinion and then there is the aspect of the socalled moral high ground, right . The juxtaposition of 200 plus hostages and the humanitarian crisis for another control for those living in the gaza strip. How do you balance it . Well i think one of the hardest things to understand from the outside looking at this is that why isnt egypt letting all of the aid just flow into the palestinians . Why arent these camps being set up . Why isnt israel agreeing not to bomb certain areas . Its because of so many different complexities, hamas uses civilian areas. And the moment there are tech camps, you can pretty much guarantee hamas will be traveling through those areas. Because those are areas, and they become areas of safety. Egypt has billions in aid. Billions in loans that it would love to see forgiven for the international community, doing the u. S. A favor. Allowing through that checkpoint. And hamas is a militant group, related to the Muslim Brotherhood which the current egyptian leader overthrew. They dont want to see hamas strengthened either. So they want to Police Everything that goes in. And that is why, for all these different perspective, when you see these type of problems, all these different audiences have Different Things to gain and lose from every low. But, maybe we can agree that in the big picture, theres optimism in. That we see that people, governments want hamas to lose. Hamas did something terrible crossing at the Israel Massacre taking all the hostages, egypt is against hamas. There is no other brotherhood saying that they want through Support Hamas and other way. The israeli are trying to undermine their time and the hamas is not the palestinian people. If you want an independent Palestinian State you do not want hamas. They redefine the coalition. Both of, you thank you so much. Really important and the competition will of course continue for obvious reasons. Thank you both tonight. Their fears, as we discussed, a little bit here. There are fears of a regional spillover from the israelhamas war. And they are growing. Those concerns, as Militia Groups have launched multiple Drone Attacks on the United States forces and iraq. And also. Serotonin is at the magic wall we have got retired Brigadier General Steve Anderson to help make sense of a lot of it. General all eyes are on gaza. And you have long been stressing that israel needs to take their time in the expected military ground operation. But theres a lot of concern this could really spiral. So how easily could this become a wider conflict . Very easily laura. And heres why. And if you look at the numbers that are involved here, look at israel over here, 10 Million People essentially in this area here surrounded by a lot of neighbors, that would really like to see them go. Let me put a number up here for you laura. 30 to 1. That is how the israelis are outnumbered in this region by muslim countries that surround them. And in particular, id like to point out a couple. Of course most of the activities are iranian. The iranians are sponsoring malicious all over the region. All of them are assigned to do anything that they can to take israel down. Theyve got militias in iraq. Theyre backing the syrians. The lebanese, hezbollah. And of course, down here in yemen. And all of these countries have militaries that are capable of inflicting a lot of pain. In particular the Missile Threat is huge. This is a very dangerous region. Israel is living in a very rough neighborhood. I mean, just how you mapped it out just seeing what is surrounding i think its perspective to people who are not as familiar with the reason and why. We also know theres been an uptick in targeted attack on u. S. Forces. U. S. Intelligence as you mentioned we briefed it. Their forces are showing that iranianbacked militia is actually trying to ramp up their attacks in the middle east. Are you expecting more kind of Proxy Attacks . How does the u. S. Defend itself against Something Like that . Laura, im absolutely expecting that. Weve seen a number of attacks already and weve seen attacks to outside airbase in iraq. And all the way up here and weve got 2500 american soldiers living there. Ive also seen attacks here in syria. 900 soldiers from the tenth mountain region. I was just out in jordan and they are living intense out there. Theyre dramatically exposed. Id also like to point out that weve got soldier sought here in the airbase, airman, soldiers largest airbase outside of the United States is down here and of course we have 7500 soldiers here in kuwait with the Brigade Set Up Equipment ready to launch. So weve got a lot of exposure in this theater. And we have to do everything we can to protect these assets because the risk of escalation is gonna improve dramatically, if american soldiers get killed in this theater by iran or any proxies. General Steve Anderson, thank you so much for breaking that all down. Very important for us to see. When we come back, the u. S. Israeli citizen who went straight from high school to serving in the israel Defense Forces. And now, hes lost his life in this for. His very best friend remembers him. Next. Maryland is mourning the death of the latest, on thousands of miles away in israel, 23 year old omer, a dual u. S. Israeli citizen who was born and raised in maryland was so drawn to his his really heritage he chose to serve in the israel Defense Forces right out of high school. Hes actually on vacation in the United States when hamas attacked israel on october 7th, shocking the entire world. He was called up as a reservists, when 60,000, roughly the name within days, sadly, he was dead. Killed just last friday by an Anti Tank Missile along israels northern border with lebanon. His lifelong friend, ethan said that he planned to propose to his girlfriend soon. And ethan joins me now. Ethan, thank you so much for being here. I am just so sorry to hear about your friend. I know you are extremely close. In fact you and him had spoken every day for your entire lives. Except when he was training with the israeli military. Can you tell me about your friendship and what it was like to know this beautiful person . Yes, of course, thank you for having me. I feel very grateful that i knew omar. And he got to share some of his light with me. I feel a large part with me will always continue to have him live on the army and the people hes touched, his family, his friends, his girlfriend who he was soon to be engaged with. He was the sweetest person in the entire world. And ive known him since six years old. Weve never had one. Fight there were parts of him that transcend what it needs to be human. I dont know many people that can have a front for that long, and never fight with them. I truly believe that a part of him was part angel. I miss some allot. An angel, a new relationship i could only imagine since you were six years old what a beautiful friendship you mustve had. He was actually on vacation, here when he called up to fight in israel. What did he think about what had happened on october 7th . He wanted to go, obviously and play. But what did he think about all of it . There was no stopping omer. He immediately was called to action and he knew that he had to go and fight alongside his brothers and sisters, his cousins, his family, his friends. And fight for israel. It was for thought. It was immediate. There was no question about. If he knew he had to fight. He said his father would drive up to the north. If im not gonna go fight, who is. And thats who omer was. If not me than who. Unbelievable testimony to who he was as a person. And the hopeless romantic and me, ethan, is thinking about what you shared with the world. That hes planning to propose to his girlfriend of four years. Have you heard from her about how shes even handling this devastation . I unfortunately, the only thing ive heard from her is scoring on the phone. There havent been many words. I think for her, its completely devastating. They were going to start a family very soon. Getting engaged. That was a omer dream, he wrote a letter to. Me a letter that i have here. A part of the letter is saying the dreams he has going forward. And his dream of imagining us with families, lives, children that we love and support. On a beach somewhere just sitting in the backyard and kicking around the soccer ball. He writes, with just a couple of ways he wasnt thinking he was going to have a family of 35. Its goal was 24, 25. In those where the numbers on the page. And that wouldve been his reality. Would you mind, i hope im not being intrusive. But would you mind sharing some of that letter with us in what he said . Yes. I can read that portion. He said to me, i want you to know that every time im sad i go to this one thought of meeting you at the age of 24 and 25. With their families on vacation. The thought of us with wives and children we love. And are able to support always brings a big smile to my face. [crying] more than anything, love you, whenever you need me. And im on a mission. Just read this letter. Just remember were only a few years from being at our dream. Ethan, i am so sorry. To think about what that and those words must feel like to you and all who have loved him. Thank you for sharing this part of your life with us. And well think about him and his family forever. Thank you so much. Thank you. Well be right back. All right so tonight or republicans are moving Behind Closed Doors to move for a candidate who want to be speaker for the house. Now the big question is who could get the 270 votes the house has been paralyzed without a speaker for a few weeks. Now i want to break it down with senior Political Writer harry enten. Yes, hes in washington d. C. And cnn political commentator scott jennings, who is not in kentucky. And of, course the and also here editor of the National Review a mash printer who is always in d. C. I am glad you are here right now. Write this down for me harry. Because these eight candidates, what do you know about them . What we know is just two of the eight actually voted to certify the 2020 election. Those tom emmer and austin scott. We also know that only four of the eight actually voted to avoid the Government Shutdown that, obviously we just barely avoided last month, the idea, essentially that this is going to be somebody whos going to come in and make some things totally different than it used to be, at least among the candidates right now it pretty much looks like the same Republican Party that weve seen in the house so far this year. Doesnt bode very, well the 2 17, but who gets there . Hard to say, because a lot of these guys have the same credentials as the people came before them. If you like somebody whos in the flavor of jim jordan, he couldnt get, there and if you like somebody like Steve Scalise well you have tom emmer. Scalise couldnt get there. And a lot of these, guys you never even heard of. Its unclear, i do think this, i think theyre all hearing earful. And people who desperately wanted there to be a republican majority right now. Theyre embers that the Party Looks Like they can organize a two car funeral. And i think back home, you guys are the lake of the school that we had. Democrats, the center of the white house, they need the Republican Party theyll be functioning at the table that we dont have right now. , mccall and mccarthy both called it thats. Well the voters look at this, and they ask the point about, how does this bode well for republicans trying to hold on to that majority . Well i think that if it gets resolved soon and it doesnt lead to real consequences like the Government Shutdown than i think you could go in the 2024 election and theyll be plenty of new ones for people to concentrate on. But arent too already picking it up in the real world . Theres consequences on other things are going on . There is no forcing event yet. That is requiring house republicans. We look at them, and we think weve hit bottom. They havent hit bottom. Yet they obviously dont feel compelled, at least not 217 of them to take action. That might change. That might change if there is something that actually has to do. I think when theres legislation that they actually feel necessary to vote than they may have to do Something Like just decide that theyre going to keep speaker and tried to operate the house that way. I dont think they feel the urgency yet. Can the work . I mean there rules were it cant be everything yet. Were in Uncharted Territory yet but i will say that you can have Committee Work thats done but its these the most constitutional scholars you cant actually pass legislation. But what you can do is you could change the house rules. The majority could decide to change the house rules and empower him more. But the fact, as you still need to get that 217 votes to empower him more and that number to seems awfully difficult. A lot of republicans have said about that plan, and honestly if you empower somebody with the duties of the speaker, were not just make them the speaker . Why are we playing this assistant to the regional manager thing. Lets just make him the speaker of the house. I want to appreciate the truth reference. I appreciate that. Thank you very much. But the alternative is, you move a bill, theres a point of order. Unless youve got 217 people who actually want to take that down in which case its not passing anyway. You could go ahead the hasidics own way. Im concerned about the next questions and have a little bit scared. What exactly does rockbottom look like if were not here in terms of Public Perception of congress and beyond. I just wonder couldnt really get any word that weve passed fewer laws this time and theyre actually signing the law that any in at least the last 50 years . That is right dont threaten me with a good time. Come on, keep talking, you know with the house this closely, divided theres not much to get past regardless. , but come on we have had close houses before. And look at the end of the day we have had 20 days. 20 days since we had a speaker. And thats midsection thats the longest stretch of. The longest struck just two days back in 1820. I mean were historic territory. Who knows whats going to happen. The bottom will just keep on digging. Maybe well find our way on the other side of the world. I mean aid packages aside the moment here is mid november when the government runs out of money. Whether they have speaker of the house or not. So my suspicion is that if you keep dragging this out, dragging the, south it may come a moment where democrats say, okay uncle, uncle and maybe enough votes present to help somebody get over the line. But hopefully republican parties can show some organization, Elect A Speaker and start looking at these National Security issues which are real and present dangers to the free world right now. And look like a responsible governing party. You know what i heard just now, if, maybe, perhaps, rockbottom. Well all have a happy christmas. I dont know why youre my kindred spirit. Im afraid, and terrified all at once. Harry, scott, thank you all. There is chaos. Not only on capitol hill. But its in the skies. After a pilot allegedly tried to take control of an Alaska Airlines flight. Have you heard this . Including attempting to shut off the engines of the airplane. Now, he is charged with 83 counts of attempted murder. To pass, theyre gonna tell me what happens, next. It is what many of us imagine as really the worstcase scenario on a flight. A struggle in the cockpit as someone is trying to take over the plane. That largely happened on Alaska Airlines flight just this weekend. The airlines saying that an offduty pilot riding in the flight deck jump seat was forcefully subdued by the crew. Why . He was trying to shut off the engines by pulling the Engine Fire Extinguisher handles. Heres what the actual pilot told air Traffic Control after it all went down. Weve got the out of the cockpit and he doesnt sound like hes going to be an issue. We want blond for smith on the ground. Its unbelievable that this was a possible, by the way. The suspect is now charged with 83 Felony Counts of attempted murder, it the three counts of reckless endangerment, and one count of endangering in aircraft. Imagine what it must of been like to be on that plane. Joining me now, to people who were there as it happened. And alex would. Glad to have you both here. I mean, i cannot imagine what that must have felt like on that plane. Im thinking it is like a horror movie. Aubrey, when did you know something was wrong . I didnt know anything was wrong until the Flight Attendant came on the loudspeaker and said that we had a situation and we needed to land the plane immediately. We didnt know where we are landing, and we didnt know what was wrong. But she assured us we were safe. Alex, just hearing that, i would have 1 million questions in that moment. Im sure you guys did as well. The audio from the pilot said he was subdued and put in the back of the plane. Did you actually see him being put back there . Yeah, so the funny part of this story, if you can pull one funny thing out of, it is that i follow sleep. I had headphones in. I was in one a, so is right by the cockpit, but nothing woke me up, nothing was loud enough, nothing was rambunctious enough to wake me up and, according to aubrey, it is kind of walked him down the aisle. He seemed calm, he seemed with it, but he did seem a little in shock. This is the problem with Noise Cancellation headphones, by the way. You shouldve had transparent mode, alex. This happens all the time. Turn it to transparent. Aubrey, tell me what the Flight Attendant said about they said what happened and you saw this unfold what. Happened once you landed the actual plane . After we landed, about five Police Officers came on and escorted gentleman from the back of the plane and he was in zip ties and, you know, the whole situation, the entire time was very calm. He was cooperative and, you know, props to the alaska crew for keeping everyone calm kind of out of the loop, to be honest. We knew that we had to emergency land, but we didnt know it was a Security Threat until about five minutes before landing on the pilot came on and said we have to land in portland and, i was awake at this point, and we have to land in portland and there was a disturbance in the cockpit. So that wearing a few alarm bells, but everyone stayed calm. There was some whispers and murderers, but nothing crazy. No yelling, no screaming, standing up, and it was all handled super well. Shout out to the Flight Attendants were able to keep everyone calm and having that pilot voice that comes over that makes you, kind of the Morgan Freeman voice that comes over the airwaves in that moment. But now that you know what happened, what goes through your mind in what couldve happened to you . I mean, we were learning about it in realtime with Everyone Else.
