War and false information can be fatal disinformation is extraordinarily harmful, putting folks lives at risk. Reporter twitter, x says moving all resources after the layoffs to try to address all the concerns. By no means is this problem exclusive tech x, pronounce on the platform and we have seen the real footage from gaza and israel, it is tragic enough pick no need for fake videos to add to the concern and confusion. Thank you very much and thank you for joining us. Good evening, 3 00 a. M. In israel tonight, in tel aviv. Earlier today close to the border with gaza, the site of the single biggest massacre that took place on saturday. Up close look at the side of the Music Festival where gun and rpg toting terrorists murdered 260 people saturday morning, mostly young people in what was supposed to be a ofeac their possessions are still strewn about and their blood still visible soaped on car seats where they were shot and smeared on the walls of Bomb Shelters that became death traps. I spent time today with rear admiral. You will hear from him tonight and hear his shock and anger and determination to win the fight that is coming. We heard the same determination from all the soldiers we met today as they make their way south going down the same road we took to take up positions close to that site, close to the Kibbutz Scene that became killing grounds, close to the border they may soon get orders to cross. Some spent the day pouring Howitzer Fire into gaza and in a moment we will speak to Nick Robertson who is with Artillery Unit that is seen heavy fire so far. Six days largescale rockets targeted at hamas causing widespread destruction to palestinian officials putting the number dead since hamas launched the attack at 1500 paired it is not clear if the number includes hundreds of hamas gunmen that invaded israel on saturday. Israels Energy Minister says that today food, water, power much of what Israel Controls will be cut off the territory until hostages held by hamas and others are returned home. A short time ago, Secretary StateAntony Blinken arrived at the capital of jordan. Has next up after meeting today with israeli leaders including Prime MinisterBenjamin Netanyahu standing behind the Prime Minister, Secretary Blinken, whose father survived the holocaust, had this to say. I understand on personal level the harrowing echoes the Hamas Massacre carries for israeli jews indeed and jews everywhere. I also come before you as a husband and father of young children. It is impossible for me to look at the photos of families killed such as the mother, father, three small children murdered as they sheltered at their home at a kibbutz and not think of my own children. The Prime Minister netanyahu showed the Secretary Photos of three young victims of saturdays massacre. Infants bloodstained bodies and two baby bodies burned beyond recognition releasing this photo of i. S. I. S. Style like found with hamas attackers at one of the kibbutz attacked on saturday. Hamas is i. S. I. S. , something the idea rear admiral also said today. To the question of hamas iranian ties, american officials today said that they earned their counterparts in qatar reached quiet understanding to keep tehran from accessing the 6 billion in iranian funds in qatar as part of the deal to free americans held in iran. A lot of it part of the picture here early friday Morning Hours with troops waiting to learn what the next move will be. Nick robertson join us not far from the border where troops are massing. You continue to see heavy air strikes into gaza and artillery fire into gaza. You were there today when israeli troops were firing howitzers. Tell us what you sought and what it has become. Reporter this evening overlooking gaza, we can see multiple repeated, theres another one, strikes from aircraft, fighter jet. Some of the impacts, not that one but some of the impacts are the strongest we have felt it feels to us the past hour and a half or so, one of the most sustained. Of Jet Fighter Missile Attacks going into gaza at the moment. We have also been hearing multiple artillery rounds firing in tonight as well as aircraft missiles slamming into gaza. These Artillery Guns firing right now, this is what we were out looking at earlier today. [ sound of gunfire ] reporter dug in along the border, these are new unit that had just arrived and just set up the howitzers. These are arranged in groupings of a dozen or so howitzers, many of them firing multiple rounds multiple times. These barrages are much bigger and stronger. The units are much larger than the idf had in the same field in 2021 from the last big confrontation with hamas. This is in order of magnitude bigger and you really get a sense of troops arriving and essentially new frontline emerging in the war on gaza. The howitzers are laying down very heavy sustained fire. Is that placement, pointing out Secretary Of State lincoln, he talked a lot of remarks today alongside matt, what more did he have to say about the israeli u. S. Attacks . Reporter the United States absolutely sidebyside with israel, no daylight between them, stalwart ally condemning hamas actions and condemning the brutality and the way that they responded, calling on other nations to align with israel, the Prime MinisterNetanyahu Outlaw nationally and internationally, shutdown hamas political offices, dont do business with them, dont talk to them peer countries that you should be sanctioned. There was a caution as you were alluding to from Secretary Blinken. While we respond and you respond, we support you responding to the utter brutality of hamas. Essentially, remember our moral standings and credibility and that relies on our moral and humane standards. There was sort of a warning, if you will. This was Secretary Blinken saying it but minimize palestinian and avoid if you can palestinian casualties. This is how he friended. Israel has the right, indeed the obligation, to defend itself and to ensure this never happens again. The Prime Minister and i discussed how israel does this matters we democracies distinguish ourselves from terrorist i scribing for a different standard, even when it is difficult holding ourselves to account when we fall short. Our humanity, the value that we place on human life and Human Dignity is what makes us who we are. Reporter already, if you will, there is increasing condemnation from some politicians and some countries for the death toll and casualty toll of palestinians in the seas put in place. International political pressure is becoming to mount on israel at the moment. Nic robertson, thanks. Much more of what is unmistakably waiting for what comes next. How would you characterize what you see now . Reporter what nic was saying, much more steady intensive thud. A lot of outgoing artillery and air strikes Pounding Gaza and u. N. Releasing new numbers about the scale of what is happening in gaza at the moment, more than 1500 palestinians dead, among them 500 children, 300,000 people homeless and 50,000 pregnant women have no access to healthcare and they are running out of fuel. Very real concerns this could very quickly spiral completely out of control in terms of the humanitarian situation if it has not already you heard Secretary Of State lincoln talk about the importance of trying to implement some sort of humanitarian corridor. As you have discussed in your show for number of reasons, that is the complex prospect on the side of the border, unmistakable buildup , the sense of Anticipation Canning for some kind of eminent ground invasion. I think there are large questions looming about what that might look like and what the stated goal of it may be and what that would mean for Palestinian Civilians and Israeli Military and crucially as well for those more than 100 hostages still being held. You visited a couple used by idf troops, what did you see . Reporter this was the kibbutz that was the site of some of the most grotesque atrocities hamas carried out on saturday. Once home to cut 1000 people, more than 100 murdered and hundreds still missing. It is perhaps symbolic gesture that has been taken over and become the staging area for israeli artillery brigade. We saw a lot of troops and heard a lot of outgoing fire and i will say they did not seem to be in state of eminent movement, lets say. Certainly the preparations are being paved. I think the larger question remains as to what exactly a ground offensive like, are we talking about fullblown annexation of gaza . Talking about some kind of limited incursion. We have heard israels leaders talk a lot about the need to Stomp Out Hamas completely but there is a reality on the ground given this enclave has been held by hamas for 17 years, it is densely populated. Youre talking potentially about very nasty urban, house to house, street to street guerrilla warfare which will make this a very tough fight. I think israelis you speak to understand that and i think israelis also understand they perhaps have a limited window in terms of opportunity with the support of the International Community to move forward with this. Really a sense of growing expectations this could be eminent. Clarissa ward, thank you. Clarissa has more reported and will come up with us again shortly. I want to play the conversation i had with Idf Spokesman rear admiral who took us to the site of the Music Festival from the text of a work hundred 60 people were killed. It is clear to you at this point hamas knew the festival was taking place here, it wasnt just an accident that happened upon it to it was architect plan as government plan. This was a major governed event by gaza. This is an event on a scale i dont think the world has seen. It is a scale of brutality and being cruel here, girls were being rape, people handcuffed and slaughtered killed people running because of the security when you have the rockets so they took them inside and throw grenades inside the cube. Theres video from numerous Bomb Shelters people were hiding in of grenades being thrown in. I dont know how people can explain this, i dont have the words. Them running away on motorcycles with girls to gaza. This is a parking lot, people try to get out of the parking not. It was too chaotic. What happened as they can from both sides. Hamas came from the south we are told they can from three sites in the west, the south, and the north. Here on the road they came, some of them looking like us. Israeli clothes. I saw a film from a phone people took from the cameras of the cars. They came here with a machine gun so the mass, running to the cars and they were waiting here to shoot them. I think it is scenes from world war ii. It is the only thing i can think of that a similar to them as hers being done on humanity. Hamas, i cannot, there is long, they rape people. You torture and slaughter them. This is islam . Hamas is islam . Hassan hamas is i. S. I. S. They go back to gaza with girls we dont know what is being done to them, hiding in buildings with gaza and showing to the world babies dead . Dont hide in buildings, hiding in tunnels with girls and elder women inside gaza . This is something we cannot stand, we cannot stand. We have thousands of israeli warriors here looking for the terrorist that stayed here in hiding. We will find them and kill them but every israeli going to this festival here will see, he will understand what we are facing. Humans understand this is something we cannot stand for. We dont have any other else, any other place to go to. This is our country. We will fight determinedly. We will not allow soldier next to us to be i. S. I. S. And not any of our borders and hiding among the civilians in gaza with women and children . This is, this is insane. There are possessions strewn around. Was this part of this from Gunmen Rifling through cars . The pictures because all of the cars have cameras, picture from a tesla here. No mercy, animals. Some of them had i. S. I. S. Flags. It is something the world needs to understand, it is Something Else. It is Something Else and it will take time. It is going to take time. Every warrior is going to fight. He will see what you and i are seen. He will feel the emotion and the rage and understand what we are fighting for. We are not animals but we will fight like animals we are calling the population before, using the air force telling them to get out of the neighborhoods. We are controlling the fire but still the ones that chose to hide in our buildings with young israeli children that are probably being raped in gaza , we will not live with that. And the ones that are giving a human shield are taking a huge risk on the life. I can tell you are deeply affected by what happened here. Ive been a warrior all my life. I fight in many battles all the theaters in the middle east. I have never seen, never, i have never seen, never felt Something Like this. Feeling like it is our existence and we are going to keep israel , we are going to keep it a democracy. We are going to keep it with our values. We will not let animals, i. S. I. S. Animals, stand next to the borders they can do that again. They must be broken down and Something Else needs to grow up it will not be i. S. I. S. , Something Else cannot govern this area. How difficult will the fight be on the ground in gaza . Incursions before, i have been to gaza city, it is a tough place to fight. We will do what we need to do in order to get to the goal i. S. I. S. Will not govern gaza. Any other country here in the region next to us that hosts hamas i. S. I. S. , they are risking their own publishing and they need to know if they interfere, if they act against us, we are ready on all fronts with full readiness. What President Biden said israel is exactly what we feel. Unfortunately, it takes us back. My grandfather fled from germany. We understand completely what we are seeing now. We have no other place to go. When we keep our values and keep this democracy, life and kicking, we understand like you know, you know gaza. It is going to be hard. We are ready, we are ready for it to be hard. It is going to be hard idf rear admiral daniel hagari. We spoke about the challenges of Israeli Military going into gaza, conversation with someone in gaza now and what they see as israeli planes and artillery are pounding the area. The American Parents whose son is in the idf and they believe being held hostage by hamas. Their message is just ahead tonight. Star return to coverage of the war in israel. Breaking news we went to get her out of washington. Months ago, steve scully, number two republican at the house who had a day ago won internal vote to be the Party Nominee in chaotic house speakers race is out of the race basically upending the entire process. Manu raju joins us from capitol hill with the latest. Tell us what happened. Reporter this is sending the house into deepening state of turmoil after Steve Scalise announced confidence Behind Closed Doors minutes ago he will not be a candidate for speaker. The House Cannot Act on any legislation, no National Priorities or dealing with issues like aid to israel or ukraine, avoiding Government Shutdown by midnovember until there is a speaker of the house there is not one because of the unprecedented vote last week ousting Kevin Mccarthy from the speakership. Since then, bitterly divided House Republican conference try to find a way forward pick Steve Scalise nominated by his conference yesterday but did not have enough votes to be elected speaker by the full house he can only afford to lose four republican votes in the full house, more than a dozen up to two dozen republicans indicated they would vote against him all day long, Steve Scalise tried to convince the holdouts to flip and come his way. He felt that effort, moments ago he came out of the Conference Meeting and urged those members to put their personal agendas aside and get behind one candidate for the good of the party. It is uncertain whether the republicans can do that. There is talk of other candidates running, jim jordan, whose gillys defeated for the republican nomination for speaker is one person saying as possibly running. There could be others. Moments ago, former speaker Kevin Mccarthy did not rule out himself running again or being considered as a candidate for the speakership. All raising huge questions about how republicans can move forward in this key moment with so much riding on the house and whether they can take other actions, plan b actions and prop up the interim speaker of the house patrick mchenry, who does not have any power but talk of giving him new power to move legislation because republicans are desperate to try to figure out a way out of a crisis of their own making. At the moment, republicans are still huddling Behind Closed Doors trying to figure out what is next. Whether there will be new Leadership Election or new candidate. Huge concern for many republicans on how to move forward with this house which cant do anything yet until they figure out who the speaker is and whether the speaker can get the votes to be elected. Remarkable given all that is going on in the world. Manu raju, thank you very much but reported at the top israeli attacks on gaza continual. Nic robertson reporting building, the territory cut off from the outside, conditions difficult even before hamas launched their Terror Attacks on saturday. Worsening could grow more so if and when Israeli Forces move in with street to Street Fighting Pick somewhere in all of that there are hostages being held in gaza with ordinary gaza citizens trying to survive. I spoke with someone living in the region working with the council. Gaza will not be provided electricity, water, or fuel until israeli hostages held by hamas i returned home. What has the impact been so far in gaza . So far, this situation is really bad before starting the war. After that, the war in gaza, bombardment, no electricity and no water, no food. I think in a couple few days, all the stores in gaza will be empty, there will not be anything to consume in gaza. Where do people get basic supplies, where are people getting food . For example, i have to leave my house and hosting refugees, every day and every morning i stand in line at a bakery to get red. Theres not enough supply for anything. Bombards around me, sorry. You can hear the explosions. Yes. What about water, when you turn on taps at your home, do you get water . There is no water in gaza, especially even though we have other sources. There is no Electricity Pump for the water to go to the houses we collect water in cooking pots and small gallons trying to store water. Not only for drinking but also for hygiene. Im wondering what people there say about the attack that took place in israel, is there a lot of support for the affected place . That you hear from people . Honestly, there are too many people here. Concerned for the safety of their children, food and other needs, Essential Needs on a daily basis. With all the bombardment overheads, we dont have space in our heads except secure our lives. We cannot think of anything in all of this chaotic situation, bombardment, no electricity and no water. What does the rope expecting from gazans to think about . Are people there aware of hostages held by hamas . The people are aware of the situation but we dont see intervention from the International Community. We dont see anyone from the outside world. People here living i cant say they are living day by day, second by second. Every day when we go to find sleep, especially when the night came, we are praying just to see the daylight again. The situation here is unbearable. I dont think anyone on this planet can handle the situation here for one hour. If there is a ground invasion, what do you expect . We are terrified of this all of the news about the ground invasion. Completely terrified of the scenario. With all of this bombardment, after that, ground invasion. I dont think, it will be a horror movie. It is literally horror here. We see horror day by day, second by second. Yousef hammash, thank you for talking to us. Thank you p the view from gaza, joining us a spokesman lieutenant colonel, previous guest talked about the dire situation for civilians on the ground, do you see any change in egypts posture and allowing gazan residents to be able to cross over the border into egypt . Good evening or good night, anderson. I feel for the previous speaker, i can understand his and others suffering but i cannot understand was his inability to answer your question and say that yes, we condemn the butchering of civilians and we condemn the fact that hamas has taken civilians, women, children , elderly hostage and holding them in gaza and yet in the same breath, he expects and calls on the socalled International Community to intervene on his behalf. While he isnt capable of denouncing the atrocities that he knows hamas has done and celebrated on the streets of gaza. So regarding egypt, i am not aware of any breakthroughs or advances. We remain with our same focus and continue our campaign trying to find hamas leaders, Military Targets and we are striking those Military Targets trying not to hit civilians and trying not to cause more damage than needed. And preparing for the next stages of our operation of the war. Does seem to me the times ive been a gaza, people who do not like hamas, i dont know the person we just talk to, what their position is, even people who dont like hamas are scared to say that out loud. People are afraid of hamas in gaza. Yes, they are. Hamas has been ruling, hamas is a terrorist organization that basically governs according to the ancient muslim law [ speaking in a global language ] with extreme interpretation. They use lots of force against civilians and civil society. They oppress the population and since they took control violently over the gaza strip in 2007, they have brought nothing but despair, poverty, and destruction to the gaza strip and its inhabitants. Now, however, i think they have really outdone themselves with their poor governance, that is nothing new. Gaza has been mismanaged and misgoverned so many years by hamas, so many resources, International Aid squandered by hamas for their military purposes and lining Bank Accounts of hamas seniors. But now, what they have done against us and the violence they have instigated all rests on the shoulders of hamas. The hostages, the fact there are so many hostages we believe spread out through gaza, unclear exactly where, how much does that impact this tragedy strategy of any Ground Operation from the next step of this, how much of it is affected by the presence of hostages or in Military Operation like this, does one have to just operate not taking them into account . One cannot take it into account but in Military Operations in war and we are at war with a very brutal enemy that needs to be defeated squarely, militarily, we focus on our anger. What we are going to do is dismantle all of hamas military capabilities. That is what we are focusing on. Granted, the Hostage Situation is by far the most complex and delicate we as a country have ever faced. I dont think any other country has ever faced something similar but i may be corrected on that, we definitely have never. We have to take it into account. The Chief Of Staff today, Lieutenant General levy said to the israeli public that they are at the top of our priorities and we will not rest and no efforts will be spared until we get those people home. Lieutenant colonel jonathan conricus, thank you. Appreciate your time from long island, two of many parents waiting for word of their loved ones their son serves in the idf. He was taken by hamas on saturday, kidnapped. We spoke earlier tonight. Your son joined Israeli Military and posted near the border with gaza. I know you spoke to him this past friday night, what did he say . He actually spoke to, i was laying in bed next to her while they were talking. I heard him saying he was extremely busy the last two weeks, Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur Holidays and was looking forward for very quiet peaceful weekend. Shabbat and jewish holiday looking forward to chill with his friends. I know you, saturday when you heard the news, you tried to reach him, when was the first indication you had that he had been taken . Actually, there is seven hour time difference between here and new york and israel so when we spoke to him, it was friday afternoon our time and it was evening in israel. Just before we were going to sleep, this was around midnight on friday night, we opened the news app on our phones and we were in bed and we saw all broke loose on the southern part of israel. Ronen immediately try to contact him of course and there was no response. We have not heard from him since. One of his friends sent you a video that had your son in it. I cant imagine receiving Something Like that, when did you see it . It was pretty shocking. It was about two days after the attack and i asked a good friend to come over and watch, i knew it was something im not ready to watch and we did watch it and he did tell me, asked me not to watch it. And he thought, he was not sure but he thought he saw omer there in the footage. Later on, we were connected with a good friend that contacted us and said, the guy that sent us the footage and advised us it was part of the Team Together with omer that was separated and he could recognize clearly omer s team pulled out from the vehicle. Do you know anything about the circumstances of him being captured . You said he was pulled out of the vehicle, military vehicle. Yes. Omer was in a tank so we know he was taken out of the tank. He was pulled out of the tank and we saw him walking. In the video. He was well, he was standing and you know, we are expecting to get them back some way. And he was in uniform . Yes, they were in uniform. They were ready to defend the border but unfortunately it seems like they were caught by surprise as we all know. Have you been in touch with Israeli Authority . Have people reached out to you . Someone from the israeli consulate came over on monday night to give us the formal news that he is considered abducted by hamas, by all indications. They did not give any explanations. To the best of their knowledge, that is the situation right now you we have been assigned someone from the consulate but really no additional needs. Orna, i think his birthday is in two days, he is 21, will you tell people about your son, what is he like . Yeah, he is actually, he will be 22 in two days. Omer was born in 2001. This was right after 9 11, as we all remember. He grew up in new york. You know, a very amazing mix of very serious god but a big goofball. He loves all kinds of sports. He loves basketball and volleyball and his father loves volleyball and follows in his steps. Orna and ronen, im so sorry for what youre going through and what omer is going through. I wish you the best and will stay in touch in the days ahead harriet thank you. Appreciate the time you so many families waiting for word coming up, new details of centers of attack by hamas. Star last night in continuing investigation of how hamas land saturdays attack, we brought you the story of the hamas official who masterminded the brutal assault, shadowy figure known as the guest for his meet to lodge in a different location every night to stay alive tonight, Clarissa Ward joins us with how the gunmen trained and how they were under the noses of Israeli Defense forces for years. What have you learned . Reporter thats right. So much discussion about the intelligence failures that led up to the atrocities last saturday. Cnns open source investigator paul murphy spent the last few days poring through years of social media video, Satellite Imagery and the results and findings are shocking. Propaganda videos put out by hamas revealed chilling details about the years of preparations that went into saturdays bloody attacks right under israels nose. Analyzing metadata from the videos, cnn investigation can reveal the presence of six training sites inside gaza. One was 720 meters from the most heavily fortified and patrolled part of israels border. In that camp, hamas retreated israeli compound, elements of the nearby Border Crossing including insignia of the battalion. Video shows they practiced taking prisoners, is it time their hands at camp. Satellite imagery indicates the camp was constructed within the last year and a half. Two other locations in the southern part of gaza, hamas trained for their audacious paraglider assault with takeoffs and landings. At all six sites, two years of federally imagery reviewed by cnn shows no indication of offensive Israeli Military action. The imagery shows the last two years, some camps expanded into surrounding farmland and there was activity in the last several months at the camps. The stunning revelations raise questions as to how hamas was able to train so openly and so close to the border for so long and why israeli officials were unable to pick up on and prevent the october 7th attack. What is the idf response to this . Reporter we reached out and asked them for a statement which they have provided. I want to read it verbatim, we cannot provide answers to your questions since they relate to the complex analysis of intelligence at the same time we are fighting a war. This topic together with numerous other issues will be investigated by the idf at the end of the war. It is worth mentioning that historically there have been many strikes Israeli Defense forces have made on hamas Training Camps and also i would mention these questions we are asking is questions a lot of israelis want answers to. The timing may not be right now, i think people appreciate that is not necessarily the priority but they will training with the Border Crossing less than a kilometer away from the Border Crossing. You see the scale and the scope of some of those camps, and its hard to fathom or understand that it would be possible that the israelis and other supported nations would not be aware of it. The assumption may be that they were aware of it, that they perhaps didnt understand or misinterpreted the intelligence, didnt see it as a direct threat. Again, thats speculative. We dont know. What we do know is that there will be, at some point, a Deep Dive Investigation into this by the israelis and the israeli people will want to know who should be held accountable. Clarissa ward, appreciate it. Thank you. We want to talk about something we mentioned earlier, the i. S. I. S. Flags the Defense Ministry says were found with the bodies of gunmen at one kibbutz. We want to bring in jeffrey author of the Remarkable Book black flags the rise of i. S. I. S. When you see this flag and the fact that the Israeli Defense minister made the quote, hamas is i. S. I. S. , which youre hearing a lot now from israeli officials and soldiers. What do you see as that comparison . Well, hamas and i. S. I. S. Are different. So, lets just put that down. Theyre they have very different histories. They have you know, they sometimes are at odds with each other. They dont particularly like each other. Theyve fought back and forth quite a bit. However, theyve become similar in some ways. Their ideology is fairly similar. Now their tactics are very i. S. I. S. Like. And from hamas point of view, the brutality, the symbolism, the things we see hamas doing that evokes i. S. I. S. , they like that because its terrifies people, it horrifies people in the ways that i. S. I. S. Glorifies the videos put out. We all agreed about what to do with i. S. I. S. Everybody opposed i. S. I. S. 86 countries signed up to fight i. S. I. S. The solution was to destroy i. S. I. S. Completely. You see why the israelis are making the big deal about there are these comparisons, including flags, turning up among the bodies of these fighters. Its sick that members of hamas would like the comparison to i. S. I. S. Because of the brutal reputation that i. S. I. S. Has among jihadist. How do you think hamas leaders view that comparison, though, given that i. S. I. S. Has been decapitated quite efficiently, although it still obviously exists in a number of places. Yeah. Its been interesting to see, anderson, in the last day or so, some of the hamas leadership trying to, kind of, back away from a little bit, back away from some of the brutal tactics. They know well what happened with i. S. I. S. And how that story ended. So, they may be objecting a little bit too late. I do think that comparison is extremely harmful for them because, to repeat, i. S. I. S. Was so brutal and so terrible that everybody in the world wanted to see that organization destroyed. And if you become i. S. I. S. Like, youre putting yourself in the same category and possibly the same consequences. Is there i mean, is there any evidence at all that i. S. I. S. May have actually been involved in this assault . So, none that weve seen. And ive actually been monitoring the communications by these various groups, including i. S. I. S. They have their spokespeople, they have their telegram channels, ways of putting out messages. And its been remarkably mixed. They are applauding the attacks on the israelis. They think its great. But at the same time, theyre saying its a shame its hamas because we dont like those guys very much. They lied iranians and we hate the iranians, we think theyre infidels. So, theyre mixed in their view about it. We havent seen evidence that i. S. I. S. Has sent fighters into gaza. Its possible there are some sympathizers, some people that want to be like i. S. I. S. Just last year there were several attacks in israel itself that i. S. I. S. Claimed responsibility before and appears to have some role, at least inspirationally, in supporting. Weve never seen an instance where i. S. I. S. Was able to penetrate this room, and we havent seen them come into gaza in a big way. Thats not to say that young hamas members, kind of, gravitate to the same imagery, the same flags and symbols and want to be like i. S. I. S. Because theyre the Jihadi Superstars around the world. Appreciate it. Thank you. Some of what we first knew about The Mass Slaughter On Saturday came from the soldiers and First Responders who rushed to help those under siege and dying. Our next guest is a Volunteer Emt who lives in jerusalem. On saturday night, he arrived at a kibbutz where women, children, toddlers, the elderly had been killed. He arrived and was handed two babies whose parents had been killed. The babies were dehydrated. He took care of them until social service ls could arrive. Thank you so much for being with us. You do this. Youre a volunteer. Talk about what you saw saturday, where you went, and what you saw. Saturday morning, when we got the call from the dispatch center, they called me up to go down to the south. When we got there, first of all, went to city of sderot. When we got there, we saw loads of cars burning, people lying outside cars, babies, children, elderly people. The First Responders that got there were also killed and the police because they werent prepared for such a big casualty. Sderot was the place they had taken over the Police Station. Hamas dressed in police clothes. A lot of people were killed. Yes. But Police Station we couldnt even get close to there. When we got there, we just ran over to the people we could help. We pulled them out of the cars when they were still burning. We put them on the ambulance and the Intensive Care Unit and we drove off with them. When we drove off, we still had fire going on, getting bullets on the ambulance itself. The babies that you were given by soldiers, that was at the kibbutz. Where we know tremendous brutality took place. What happened . How did you wind up with these two babies . We were contacted by the idf and they told us to come give help for medical assistance for the civilians that were taken hostages, and were executed, and for the soldiers that got injured. And between the brutal assault, and the people, jihadist, soldier from the special forces, he came out with two babies in his hand. He gave it over to me, one of the babies and another baby to my colleague. The babies were screaming and they were dehydrated. When he gave me the baby, the baby clung on so hard, it was so emotional. I cant even express how much. He was clinging to you . Yes. And gave him the bottle of water, you could see how was dehydrated. Didnt want to let go for a half second. And where did you bring the babies . We spoke with the hospital and social services. They told us to bring them down to the hospital. Do you know anything about their parents . We dont know anything about the parents. What the soldier told us when he gave over the babies, he told us that the parents were not with us anymore. They were all captured, all executed. Have you ever seen anything like this . Never in my life. Its the worse thing thats ever happened to me. And after that, did you continue how long have you been working . Ive been working until three hours ago. Im straight from there, right here, nonstop. You try to sleep, you cant. You cant even manage to sleep. You close your eyes and all these pictures coming up. I understand that. Do does it change the way you see things . How does it affect you . It does change how you see things. Its one thing that you see for yourself, that you want the world to change, that it should be loving people. We work with arabs, jews, and christians. We all work together. This morning Sunday Morning there was an arab, muslim, dr. Tarik. Hes our friend. And he was captured by the hamas and was taken hostage. They shot him in his leg. They told the Israeli Forces if theyre going to come any closer, were going to shoot them in his head. He spoke to them in arabic and he told them parts of the koran, and they didnt even care. And meanwhile we are the ones working together the whole time hand to hand. So, its just to love each other and be together. Amidst all this horror, its lovely to talk to somebody who is trying to help other people. And i really appreciate all your he. Thank you. Thank you so much. Cnns coverage from israel continues.
