1. The conditional movement control order (MCO) in Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Sabah and several localities have been extended until Dec 31 due to the rising number of Covid-19 cases, but restrictions are also being lifted to allow Christmas celebrations and certain types of sports events and tourism activities.
2. The Health Ministry revealed that 280 medical personnel are being treated for Covid-19 amid new outbreaks at Serdang Hospital and Selayang Hospital. Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said this is believed to have been caused by the growing number of in-community transmissions in the Klang Valley.
