Ten BJP leaders had come in close contact with Rupani during his election rally in Nizampura on Sunday
Vadodara: Despite chief minister Vijay Rupani testing positive for Covid-19 on Monday, the BJP leaders, who had come in contact with him, will not be isolating themselves and it will be business as usual for them.
Rupani had collapsed on the stage during an election rally for the Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) polls held in Nizampura area of the city on Sunday night. His Covid-19 test turned out to be positive on Tuesday morning.
According to central health ministry guidelines, any person who has come in contact with a corona positive patient should isolate himself/herself as a precaution. However, city unit BJP chief Dr Vijay Shah, a healthcare professional himself, said these guidelines are not in force any more.
