Cleveland Whiskey draws rare double gold at San Francisco World Spirits Competition
Cleveland Whiskey founder and CEO Tom Lix.
Spirits from Cleveland Whiskey are in the company of some of the best on Earth, according to judges at the renowned San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
Cleveland's 12-year-old craft distillery — which is in the process of building out its new production facility at the Flats South Innovation District — was awarded a rare double gold medal for its "Underground Bourbon Whiskey finished with Black Cherry Wood."
Cleveland Whiskey has earned more than 100 medals in various competitions across the globe. This double gold, however, is its highest accolade to date. To earn a double gold medal at SFWSC, a drink must draw a gold from all judges on a blind tasting panel.
