Cleveland Clinic creates president of international operations position
Dr. Rakesh Suri on March 31 will become president of international operations for Cleveland Clinic.
Cleveland Clinic has named two physicians to new international leadership positions — one in Cleveland, and the other in Abu Dhabi.
The Clinic on Monday, Feb. 15, announced that Dr. Rakesh M. Suri will return to Cleveland from Abu Dhabi to serve in the newly created role of president of international operations. In turn, Dr. Jorge A. Guzman has been named CEO of Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, the post Suri currently holds.
Both appointments take effect on March 31.
In a news release, the Clinic said Suri will lead the health system's "overall international strategy and advance business development opportunities." He also will be responsible for global patient services and will oversee operations for Cleveland Clinic Canada.
