The four International races that have HK$95 million (A$16.25m) in combined total prizemoney will provide plenty of excitement throughout the day.
The highlight for many in Australia will be the Hong Kong Sprint (1200m), featuring Classique Legend. The horse is making his local debut for new trainer Caspar Fownes and they’ll be trying to emulate his success in The Everest by winning this rich feature.
By all reports, Classique Legend has done well since arriving and Fownes commented that he is "close to his Australian (body) weight".
Hopefully the horse will perform accordingly. On the Hong Kong tote this morning, Classique Legend is around the $4 mark, which hopefully holds up as he clearly is the class act in this field.
