The CJI addressed an orientation programme on ‘Protection of Wildlife’ at the Assam Administrative Staff College in Guwahati, Assam.
The orientation programme was jointly organised by the Judicial Academy, Assam and the World Wide Fund for Nature, India.
Animals are being ignored since our dependence on them has reduced due to mechanisation, the CJI stated.
Guwahati: Chief Justice of India (CJI) Sharad Arvind Bobde, on Saturday, asserted that the history of civilisation is one of man’s association with animals, but with reduced dependence on animals due to scientific inventions, we have started ignoring them.
