KCCI 8 NEWS AT 6:00. LAURA: A CIVIL WAR VETERAN FROM IOWA NOW HAS A HEADSTONE MORE 110 AFTER HIS DEATH. FREDERICK WAGNER WAS BORN IN FRANCE BUT SPENT MOST OF HIS LIFE IN IOWA. WAGNER SIGNED UP TO SERVE IN THE CIVIL WAR WITH AN IOWA INFANTRY. HE SERVED FOR SEVERAL YEARS BEFORE GOING ON TO BECOME A MASON AND A TRAIN CONDUCTOR IN BOONE.
