City sponsors global affairs quiz team in national contest debut
HOLLAND — A trio of Holland high school-age students participated in a national competition testing their global affairs knowledge Saturday, April 17. 
Holland's Academic World Quest program is in its first year, but the city of Holland's human relations director Esther Fifelski hopes the program continues and local schools get involved. 
"I would love to see this become something where we have a team at every school," Fifelski said. 
Supported and organized by the Holland International Relations Commission, the team, dubbed the Holland Herodotus team and made up of three area high school students, competed in regional and national Academic World Quest competitions.
