With the city of Amarillo releasing its last COVID-19 report card May 21, the public health department is now exclusively releasing data for Potter and Randall counties on its COVID-19 dashboard on the Amarillo Alerts website.
Since May 21, Potter and Randall counties have seen an increase of 63 COVID-19 cases, bringing the area’s total to 34,448 since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.
Of the total, 419 COVID-19 cases were reported as active as of Thursday, a decrease of 77 net active cases from May 21. There have been 33,272 reported COVID-19 recoveries, an increase of 140 recoveries from May 21. There have been 757 reported deaths related to the virus, which is no change from May 21.
