MADISON, Wis. — The City of Madison will begin enforcing street parking restrictions it put on hold during the coronavirus pandemic in June, officials announced Thursday.
Starting June 1, the city will enforce residential parking permit restrictions and time limit restrictions for non-metered street parking. The city says it is ending the temporary suspension on parking rules ahead of the Dane County Public Health order expiring the next day, which includes the lifting of capacity limits.
Standard parking rates will also return, meaning reduced $5 per night and weekend daily maximum for city-owned parking garages will go back to the $8 per night and weekend maximum rate.
