A Fourth of July tradition is back for the City of Gulfport with the goal of bringing the community together and lighting up the night sky.
Sunday night, people will gather to view the show in the sky at 8:45 p.m. along the Gulfport Beach Front. You are asked to arrive early for the best viewing experience and recommended viewing areas are at Jones Park and anywhere to the left of the park along Highway 90.
Gulfport officials hope this year’s event allows families to make new Independence Day memories that will last a lifetime. City of Gulfport Public Information Officer LaShaundra McCarty said, “You know, it gets people out of their silos and their homes, and into an open space where they can share a moment or a memory together, and as I said, I still remember it. So, years down the line, the students and the kids who go out there and enjoy this will remember those moments, when they sat out on the beach and enjoyed that experience with their families and friends.”
