“I would jump up and down if that happened," Briley said.
Briley said that the community has wanted a water feature, such as a pool or a splash pad, for decades.
“To have something that’s free for kids to do that’s kind of what we’re looking for," Briley said.
Kinslow said that the splash pad is a good place to begin.
“We think a splash pad is just a good way to get started," Kinslow said.
Currently, the only options that people have for fun in the water are to go to Fort Smith or to go to the creek or river.
