Bismarck Fire Department responds to house fire
At approximately 02:51 a.m. on Saturday, May 15, the Central Dakota Communications Center received a report of a deck and the back of a house on fire in the 1000 block of Crescent Lane, in Bismarck. The Bismarck Fire Department was dispatched to investigate. The first arriving fire crew arrived on scene to find heavy smoke showing from a two-story single-family dwelling. The occupants had evacuated and were attempting to extinguish the fire on the back of the house.
The fire crew established command, deployed a hose line to the back of the house, and began to suppress the fire on the outside of the house. The fire had extended into the attic space of the structure. Additional fire crews arrived on scene and assisted with establishing a water supply, pulling additional hose lines, securing utilities, pulling ceilings, and attacking the attic fire from the interior. When the fire was extinguished an overhaul operation was conducted to find any remaining smoldering materials.
