The event took place at the Myrick Park Center.
People picked up masks in a drive through pick up fashion to minimize direct contact.
Each household could get five masks.
The masks are washable and reusable, and there were also children’s masks available.
Officials in the city want to do their part and make sure that everyone has access to a mask.
“This is really just a commitment on the city’s behalf, just to let people know that we think it’s important, we’d like people to wear masks. And we’re just trying to enable that as best as we can and get them out to the city residents as best we can,” said Pat Corran the Community Risk Educator with the La Crosse Fire Department.
