Last month, Wetaskiwin City Councillor Wayne Neilson asked Council and Administration what happened to $50,000 that was supposed to go into an art reserve for a centrepiece on the roundabout. Last week, he got his answer.
During the May 10 regular City Council meeting, Administration pulled up the records of that discussion.

It showed that then-Councillor Patricia MacQuarrie moved that a Public Art Reserve be established and that $50,000 be put into that reserve for the roundabout project. That motion was defeated, not carried.
