City approves plans for new tallest-building in Portland

Plans are moving forward to develop a new tower that is set to be the tallest building in Portland.

On Tuesday, the city's planning board voted to green-light the proposal from Redfern Properties to build a 16-story building on the corner of Federal Street and Temple Street. Sign up for our Newsletters
At 190 feet tall, the building will include 266 apartments with parking other mixed-use space.
"They're designed for people who have jobs and who live and work in Portland," said Jonathan Culley, the managing partner at Redfern.
