Christmas card effort gets global response

It’s a good thing Camryn Kivel loves to get mail, because she is getting a lot of Christmas cards this year.
A Facebook group called Christmas Cards for Camryn, which was created Dec. 1, has gained more than 775 members from around the globe. Posts consist of guesses of how many cards Kivel will receive that day, as well as pictures of her, often with the cards or with her mailman.
“Camryn right now is having a real hard time with COVID,” Wendy Kivel, Camryn’s mother, said. “She’s a very social kid and she misses her friends.”
