Christmas Angels 2020: These Kennebunkport leaders kept their Promise
KENNEBUNKPORT, Maine – Considering the popular notion of angels as guardians, watching over people and keeping them safe, it becomes clear why those involved with The Kennebunkport Promise are among the York County Coast Star’s “Christmas Angels” for 2020.
Back in April, in the early uncertain weeks of the COVID-19 pandemic's impacts in the U.S., local business leaders banded together and partnered with the town to develop an innovative approach for taking a new way forward. As Kennebunkport Town Manager Laurie Smith recently pointed out, this was before the State of Maine released its checklists and safety guidelines for businesses.
