BEIJING, June 27 (Xinhua) -- China's logistics sector reported steady operation in the first five months of the year as the country's economy maintained recovery momentum, an industry report showed.
The value of the country's social logistics reached 121.2 trillion yuan (about 18.72 trillion U.S. dollars) in the period, up 17.5 percent year on year, according to a report from the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing.
The average growth rate of the January-May period in 2020 and 2021 stood at 7.2 percent, the report noted.
The combined revenue of the logistics sector amounted to 4.6 trillion yuan in the first five months, rising 31.4 percent year on year, according to the report.
