China's 40th Antarctic expedition sets sail and a new research station will be built. The station is located in the coastal area of the Ross Sea in East Antarctica. It is the fifth Antarctic research station in China, the third perennial research station after the Great Wall and Zhongshan Station. The 40th Chinese Antarctic Expedition departed from China on November 2023, 11 and returned in April 1, lasting more than five months. The expedition team consisted of more than 4 people from more than 5 units in China.
