Normalcy is slowly returning after a 15-month-long pandemic, prompting millions of vaccinated Americans to make plans for Memorial Day weekend. Unfortunately for some, a chaotic weather pattern will bring inclement conditions that could put a damper on festivities.
In some parts of the Northeast, temperatures 20 degrees or more below normal will bring a bite to the air, while other waterlogged areas of the Plains will continue to deal with drenching deluges. Instead of heading to the pool, some may opt instead to huddle inside next to a fire with a good book. D.C.-area forecast: Heavy showers later today and into tonight, with some strong storms possible
